I am glad you're OK and things weren't worse, although it sounds bad enough to me. I'm really sorry it happened to you.

Thanks for mentioning the deep fried frog's legs at the end - that put the buzzkill on the other yummy sounding fair food!

GEEEZ...fwh, called me during the earthquake...wished I was with him in HB. WHAT? Yeah, so that I could "experience" an earthquake. Word of mouth is ok by me. I've been in Hurricanes, Blizzards, seen a tornady up close and personal, I want to leave earthquake off my "to do" list thank you very much.

When the big earthquake hit the Bay area during the World Series late 80's, my brother was living in San Jose. Fortunately, he was visiting MA when the quake hit. Unfortunately, my SIL (whom I love to bits), was at work in San Jose in a 14 story building. It was bad...she was ok, but had mucho after effects. My SIL is 80% hearing-impaired, and the earthquake did something to her equilibrium or something...she went to Stanford Medical for help, and was part of a study on the effects of earth quakes on the hearing-impaired. It took quite a while for her comfortable even flying.

Jasper finally came out from under the bed at around 10:00 p.m. A tummy like his takes work and he heard me calling to Lucy that it was time for her medication. Since we give her whipped cream with her medication, he figured that he could get some as well.

Wow, PSM - so sorry to hear your place took such a hit! Just glad that "everyone" is ok.

Here in the west valley felt just a bit of shaking at my desk, not enough to make anything fall over. Went right on with my project, didn't even realize the impact till later when the calls started coming in.

Mom phoned in hysterics from Boca, once again convinced that whatever disaster happens anywhere in California that I must be directly involved. Considering having her cable disconnected.

In '94 we were on the epicenter; that was a different story.
