LOL, yeah, I know........(crazy)
That is quite possibly one of the cutest things I've ever heard. I think lb should get a promotion within the company and go around inspecting stocking techniques and planagrams. When a stores passes muster, he will give them a "Littlebeast Approved" stamp on the corporate report, which will come to be known in industry lingo as a Label 13.
That would be wonderful, though they'd have to let me keep my same schedule, including overnights and Wednesdays & Thursdays off. I would probably end up shrink wrapped and slotted atop the bins in the back by those whose work I was inspecting though....

I'm sure there are many others too!
Although it's actually Fawn-teen, I think everybody pronounces it Fan-teen because of the Fanny nickname. Myself included. I named her Fantine as a more feminine alternative to Phantom. So it's always been a Fan, not Fawn, around here. Drives Les Miz people nvts.

I'm with you on the Placenta thing as well.

I pronounce Tanstaafl "Snoopy". Ha! Or Tan-staff-ull.
I pronounce tanstaafl with the L silent. "Tan-Staff" And of course, I never recognized it was an acronym until someone pointed it out about a year ago....

I remember the Fantine/Phantom story from one of your previous stays over here, though I didn't know it was pronounced like "fawn". Now I will probably think of that pronunciation, complete with snooty French accent, everytime I see it!

I missed this story! Do you mind repeating it?

BTW, I love the pictures o' the Fantine crew! (Papa, Sister and Fantine) I feel like singing along to what might be playing on his guitar whenever I've seen the avatar the last couple of days.

BTW*2 - Sam is now playing guitar! Woo hoo!

As you will see when Peekaboo Fanny gets put back up, when she was born she had a cream coloured patch going across her right eye and down her cheek that looked like the half mask from Phantom of the Opera.

By the time she was ready to leave her mama, it was clear that she was a young lady and, since the Phantom was a man, I suggested to the kids that we change her name to Fantine (flat a) because it sounded like Phantom and we could call her Fanny for short.

It also continued my theme of naming all my cats after songs. Since you didn't ask, here they are:

Stormy - Classics IV
Lola - Gwen Verdon
Sweet Pea - Tommy Roe
Chloe - Gus Kahn
Mariah - Harve Presnell
Cecilia - Simon & Garfunkel
Fanny - Rolling Stones
Spoiler
I'm darned good and ready.

Was wondering how long it would take before someone offered that one up. :P

I like the new avatar, tubadave!

Now they just need one more sign: "No loitering."
