Spoiler
Adam Villani says he'll be on the show tonight which means that Steve Bahnaman went off.

But we do not know if Rafferbee got on as the main contestant.

1) I always thought Rafferbee was a male.

2) The guy she went against(and whom she still may defeat)-probably could not have had a more favorable board for his wheelhouse than when he went against her. A lot of "High Culture" categories that seemed to play right to his strengths. I did cringe a little when Raffer chose Art as one of her "2 Strike" choices. Sitting at home, It was pretty obvious that that would be a strength of his.

3) For the most part, I really like the format of the show. WWTBAM broke my heart-but this one doesn't have the harsh "One and Done" that WWTBAM has. I detest the questions where they have to list 5 of 10 or whatever. It is so hard to keep track of what was said and so forth.

4) It does seem a bit favored to the main player-but that is OK, it is their show and a long run might attract interest. One way I thought of to create more tension and engage the challenger would be to alternate category choices between the 2 of them.

5) A pool should be started to see how long until "Celebrity 500 Questions" is on the air.

6) I absolutely love that the guy was wearing a "Blue Shirt".

The Frisco Taphouse and Brewery must be the world's most brightly lit pub quiz. The ones I attend are like playing in a cave, which tends to make any visual handouts especially challenging, but dim lights are what I'd normally expect in a bar at night.

Just out of curiosity- if this run ended with Steve still going, does anyone know if he will be brought back should the show have another run?

Or is that something no one has revealed because they don't want to spoil whether or not Steve made it all the way to the end of this run?
The person who was in the hotseat (or whatever they call it) at the end of taping was told that s/he would continue when and if the show returns.

Its really nice! I prefer it to where we were at The Greene Turtle, which was always a scramble to find a table and dark. At Frisco we have the whole back room and its nicely lit.

This would be a good tweak.

Another could be that if the follower wins a certain number of battles (maybe 3?), he/she unseats the main contestant.

Is tonight's episode online yet?

I'm supposed to go play trivia tonight, so I will miss it (and if we get storms, the power might go out).

No, it's not online before the broadcast. It might even take two days to be available.

Comcast online had last Wednesday's episode up at 4AM the next(Thursday) morning EST, seven hours after it ended in EST.

Tonight 500Q goes up against the return of Are YOu Smarter than a 5th Grader on FOX at 8PM EST. 5th Grader will probably ask 11 questions in the whole hour, as Buzzerblog's Twitter page thinks. Thursday night from 8-10PM is the series one 500Q finale, which will be going up against the National SPelling Bee televised finals on ESPN.

I've got trivia tonight, but have set 500Q to record.

Due to the predicted icky weather (which didn't happen) I stayed home from trivia and watched the show. It was exciting. I actually knew many of the answers. I was disappointed to see Steve go.

He got $110K for his efforts, which isn't bad.

He denied Megan a cyberial cigar for getting into the champions' spot. We'll see tomorrow night if the new champion gives former J! college champ Pam Mueller a cyberial cigar and lets her in the champions' spot

Sigh...the ignore function doesn't work if someone quotes him. I've been ignoring you for four years, Mr. Horan, but congratulations, you finally provoked a response in me, though I have no illusions that I'll get you to change your behavior. I'm sure you have been told many times that your messages to female champions are unwelcome. If it was just on this Bored it would be an annoying quirk, but you have tweeted me, messaged me on facebook, left comments on youtube, and sent me messages on other boards as well. I don't want you to ever contact me again. Its icky and gross, and reminds me that no matter how well I do in a battle of the mind, for some people the only thing that will ever matter is my gender.

Stop it.

I don't know what it says about me, but it never registered with me what the loaded meaning behind that phrase Zach uses was until this thread.

I'm hoping it just says I was unobservant and didn't notice the pattern that he only says it about female contestant/champions.

Wow... I had no idea that Zach was THAT level of creepy. I always assumed he was just a message board douche....

On Jboard they delete unliked posts like some of Zach's and don't let that "Cy" word in a post by anyone. On Game SHow FOrum he was banned nine years ago for a post not about cyberial cigars, but something else PG-rated. Zach also, outside of all his silliness, takes care of an aging relative who is 59 and holding(Zach is 45), and is trying to keep his behavior at work together so she doesn't have to go back to work a couple of days a week to pay for things like cable TV and her dog.

Most people are trying to keep their behavior at work together so relatives don't suffer financially.

Most people don't become cyberstalkers.

Most people don't use having to work for a living as an excuse for cyberstalking.

Probably best to delete this thread or stop posting on it, which the mods might do in this case. Or at least delete the Zach posts here.

BackInTex loves the bizarre. Especially when folks, out of the blue, start referring to themselves in the third person. It makes BiT wonder if an admin hijacked their ID. He is suspicious that way.

Y'all should have a 3rd person day. Sort of like Talk Like a Pirate Day. BiT would love that.
