The Answer to that last question was Digital Fortress, but you don't have to worry about that one anymore.

When you get back here is your new question for 100,000 dollars

STQ:
100,000

A. Giacomo da Lentini
B. Leonardo Da Vinci

Sorry it took me so long I was writing the next question set :)

This is going to be a bit of a guess.

Da Vinci seems like too obvious.

So, I'm going to go with A. Lentini

Final Answer.

You are correct, I don't even think Da Vinci was a poet. was he?

Which of the following stars is furthest away from the Earth?
A. Barnard's Star
B. Proxima Centauri
C. Sirius
D. Rigel

Ok. Let's start eliminating some.

Proxima Centauri is the closest to the earth. So that can't be it.

Barnard's Star is close enough so astronomers were able to deduce that there was a planet there.

This is going to be a guess also.

Let's go with Rigel. Final Answer.

Which of the following people was not excommunicated in the 1500s by the Roman Catholic Chruch?
A. King Henry VIII.
B. Queen Elizabeth I.
C. Martin Luther
D. Louis IV, Holy Roman Emperor

I think this is easier.

Henry VIII was definitely excommunicated because he wanted the Pope to grant him a divorce.

I'm pretty sure that Martin Luther was also excommunicated.

To clarify, all of those people were excommunicated. Only one of them was not in the 1500s

Now I'm down to the last two.

Elizabeth wasn't even born when Henry wanted to divorce Catherine of Aragon so she couldn't have been excommunicated then. Maybe she was later excommunicated because she kept the Anglican Church going. Not really sure.

It sort of seems weird for the HRE to be excommunicated, but that's going to my stab at a final answer. I want to save the PAF for one of the last two questions.

So, D. Louis IV. Final Answer.

Oh, just saw your explanation. Let me take this back then.

Actually, I'll stay with my answer. D. Final Answer.

Who originally proposed a helical structure for DNA?

B. Linus Pauling
C. Maurice Wilkins
D. Francis Crick

I know that HVIII was king entirely during the 1500s. QEI's reign only extended into the 1600s by a few years. And Martin Luther was active in the early 1500s.

Watson & Crick won the Nobel Prize for it, so I bet they weren't the first to propose it. It doesn't sound like something Linus Pauling would have done. He won a Nobel Prize in Chemistry (and Peace) but I don't think it was for stuff like this. Usually in these types of questions, the answer that's unfamiliar to me is the right one. But, I'm certainly going to PAF before answering.

Is anybody out there available for PAF duty?

This would be the thing I would most be worried about as a scientist and PAF.

A science Q!
