I was thinking the same thing.

I found Christian's enthusiasm a little over the top for my tastes.

That doesn't mean I hate Christian.
I don't believe heels meant "haters" in the way that anyone here "hates" Christian. Haters is a term used nowadays to denote someone who may be jealous of someone and in response comes across as overly critical. Maybe the term is tossed around a little loosely but you can she what she means.

Since Heels is a guy (although his current avatar pic is of a female) he probably now hates you!! Just kidding, of course. :). I think and LB had the same English teacher.

Don't feel bad... it's happened before. A lot of people have thought that "heels" refers to high heels, so that's caused some mistakes.

Ain't a "hater" in that respect either.

And at the risk of sounding overly-critical and a "hater", I think the term "hater" is way overused on the Web.

Must be a generation gap then because hater to me means - well - hate. I can be jealous of someone and certainly have no hate or malice towards that person.

Sorry if I misunderstood.

Yeah, I'm with you, Kay. Just because some wannabe hipsters on the internet misuse an offensive word and apply it to people they don't agree with doesn't mean that you and I are stupid.

Besides, I always thought the people of Eastern Hispaniola were the haters and the people of Western Hispaniola were the hatees.

That's because said hipsters like to infer that those people are jus' jellus and the defect is with the hater, not with their oh so awesome selves.

Considering that the questions and LLs are now designed to give mostly winners in this range...of course they're going to want lots of people excited to win such an amount.

PS Christian- this comment is not a slight against you- as Bob pointed out when I made my comment about having higher expectations, if I was 20, $15K would seem like a lot of money.

But I'm 42 with two kids- one almost ready to go to college. $15K looks a lot smaller to me.

Not that I don't agree with you. I had much higher expectations as well, and they were realistic, I believed, before I went on. The show has a way of tempering your expectations.

It was your comment over on the other board that bothered me the most and I quote:

Why would you have a problem with the show's producers telling an enthusiastic person that he was a great contestant?

I have a problem with the producers thinking someone that over the top was one of the best contestants ever. They want BAM to attract the same viewers as TPIR apparently.

Or the assistant producers were trying to be nice to a contestant who made an effort to be entertaining.
