Since some time has passed, here is another clue.
The poster of this avatar used ATA at the $8K level. She got a spread-out response (19-8-45-29), which was apparently about as helpful to her as the first clue was to us today.

I just went through the member list even, and it didn't click with anyone.....

I'll leave this up for a while into the weekend, being that I don't have many left and maybe someone will find or solve it then.

Good guess, but not her. OI used her ATA at $500 and her PAF at $8000.

Got any non-show clues? We actually mulled this over a bit in chat last night before it (and the whole Bored) went down, and we're flat out stumped, even though we all seem to remember this avatar very well.....

I could tease Marley by pointing out that he responded twice to the thread back in 2008. As if Marley could remember that among his 20,000+ posts.
The BB had very few avatars, only three that I could find, and the other two I have are absolute giveaways.

So whoever it is must not have their transcript thread identified by BB name in the subject header, because I have scoured the Transcript Forum several times and found nobody who fits the description. The only female BB's I found from that year were Hooly, Meisha, and Winnamill, all of whom I could have eliminated on avatar alone without having to check their transcript threads (though I did anyway)....
When you said the other avatars were obvious, the first thing I thought was maybe one (or both) of them was an ES portrait/tat.... but I looked through my directory and came up blank there too....
I have to admit.... this is your best one yet! It is so familiar, yet completely lost as to who it belongs to.....

This is a stumper, since I too, remember the avatar.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Maybe because like OI, this BB was on the show before this version of the Bored.

I'm not getting the 2008 thread reference then.....
However, working off your clues and without being able to check the transcript, I thought of someone who might fit.... especially now that it occurs to me what I thought was her first avatar may not have been her first avatar........

Solved!
Here is the thread:
http://wwtbambored.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7245
Weird.... I'd have never guessed it was an interim avatar between appearances of the pic of her with American Gothic.... because I know she was using that avatar when she was playing the 2008 LSWE, and also when I posted the portrait of her and Confessor that Sepetmber......
But I damn well knew I had seen it before, and remembered it well. Just not who it went with!

ACK!!!!!
That was her first avatar, the one I associate with the LSWE.... and I had totally forgotten about that one since it worked off the same theme as the second one! I substituted it in my mind with the pic of her with the painting, which must have come after the robins.....

That thread is really funny with her current avatar in place.

Okay, now that the answer has been revealed and I've looked at the thread, I recognize it, but I can't say that I had memorized all the details, particularly the abstract details of having replied twice in the thread.
I also haven't committed all the details of every BB's Hot Seat run to memory. To paraphrase Professor Henry Jones, Sr., "I wrote them down in the transcript threads so I wouldn't
have to remember!"

Here is one for today; things have gotten interesting as the avatars have been obscure and difficult lately:
A dog-lover's extra, open to those who do not remember the BB: What breed of dog is pictured?

Looks like a
Springer Spaniel.

Looks like the
breed part is answered. English Springer Spaniel.
See if anyone comes up with the BB before I put this in the Impossible category.
