Sheesh -that word again, within 24 hours! What are the odds?
I know! I couldn't believe it when I was looking at the whole calico thing and poof there it was. I like it when threads collide!

At this point I wouldn't be entirely surprised to hear that upon further inspection it's discovered that their paws contain teeny little simian creases. And the vast majority are actually named Bonzo.

Of course adding another reference from a third thread would be really cool too! You don't know Ralph Nader or drive a Corvair do you? lol

ha! No, BUT -- if they use it, one of my mall questions on "Trivial Pursuit : America Plays" asks about a certain presidential candidate who wrote a book called "Unsafe at Any Speed"...

I love the genetics lesson. You probably coulda learned a lot from me back in the day....
9 out of 10 calicos are either named Patches or Callie/y. It's the "Snowball Law".

Alice Cooper's daughter is also named Calico. I don't know if it's for the cat or the fabric. Or if calls her Callie.
My sister had a calico that apparently defied convention as the 1 out of 10. She was named Carly although that was in memory of a prior cat (an "uncle" I think) that was named Carl. Carl of course was not a calico but instead a black and white cat. How he got to be named Carl of all things is a mystery to me...
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.

Some people are like a Slinky. They are not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs...
