I will bet against all odds that he will select Hillary.

McCain will not choose Willard but will go with Tom Tancredo.
That last sure sounds like a joke to me, SirG -- at least I hope so. Tancredo's reputation as a nutcase continues to spread.

But a McCain/Tancredo ticket would shore up the Lou Dobbs vote.

You really think that McCain would risk alienating the social conservatives by picking him?

I seriously believe that McCain floated that "pro-choice running mate" trial balloon just to make the Mormon look palatable.

Besides, I want McCain to pick Romney because 1) he's a bigger flip-flopper than McCain, 2) I want to know how many houses he owns, and 3) I get to recycle my favorite picture: Willard Mitt Romney, the fudgepacker.

I really have no comment regarding the vp picks of either party but this pic is hysterical funny.

I'm betting it's Biden. I'm HOPING it's Biden. I'd have supported Joe in the primaries, but he was never even allowed to get out of the gate.

Sprots, this entire presidential election is a joke. So, why not add Tancredo to the mix. He's a good conservative and I don't see where he has flip-flopped his positions or where he owns multiple residences or that he had close ties to a guy that damns this nation or, or, or...

If people can be deadly serious about having Obama as president, then I can be just as serious about having Tancredo as VP.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama prolonged the suspense on his vice presidential pick on Friday, saying he has chosen an independent voice who could be an effective governing partner -- but not revealing the name.
What a tease! :P

Why not go whole hog? Obama can have McCain as his running mate and McCain can choose Obama as the VP Nominee. Both candidates could attract 'on the fence' voters.

This would work especially well in places like Chicago, where many voters get to vote more than once.

Bayh's Wikipedia page says he is Obama's running mate.

Not that that is a reliable source.

of all the selections on the page, I like wes clark the best. by far.

Evan Bayh gives me a "Who he?" response. Maybe American voters are more knowing.

Somebody here owes me $50,000.

OK, $500.

OK, $5.

OK . . . nothing.

Good job, Annie.

Oh no. I'd better call the boys down in silk-screening to hold on a little longer.

But now I'm out of bumper sticker ideas.

MSNBC says Kaine and Bayh were contacted they are not the picks. Probably either Biden or Clinton.

I kinda, sorta hope it's Biden. He will chew up and spit out his opponent in a debate.

I've read that the Obama campaign is printing Obama/_______ materials for all of the major vice presidential candidates precisely to prevent anyone from reliably drawing an inference from news of this nature. I am looking forward to having a President who gets the details right. --Bob

This is why I don't gamble - CNN is "awaiting announcement from Obama campaign".

I'm gonna have to change from E-mail to text. I'll be on the road most of the day. :(
