Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

This is one of the coolest threads ever. Look at the expressions on these critters' faces. And the things coming out of their bodies and like the details.

You did a fine job, Evil. I liked your pictures very much, and I know it must have taken a long time to do them all. Now, I will say -- as constructive criticism only -- that your alphabet would have been better if you had done it like this:

A is for Annie
B is for Brownhound
C is for Cookies
D is for Dog
E is for Everything Else
F is for Fleas, of which I don't have any
G is for Greyhound and Guinefort
H is for Home School High School
I is for my sister Irish
J is for Jabberjabber, the sound made by squirrels
K is for Knowlege, because there's no such thing as too much.
L is for Laptop (and Lizbit)
M is for Mr. Mozart
N is for Naps
O is for Opera
P is for Polite, because I always am
Q is for Quiet! (see N)
R is for Running and for Rusty, my brother
S is for Squirrels, but enough about them
T is for Tails
U is for Unique, because each of us is
V is for Veterinarians, the most important people in civilization
W is for Wireless
X is for X-rays, which never show my best side
Y is for Yale, where I'm going to college
Z is for Zoom, my average running speed

You are welcome. I'm glad I could help.

Miss Annie,

That is a fine list. Sometime in your busy schedule you ought to learn to draw as does Mr. Squirrel. I was gonna say like Mr. Squirrel, but perhaps you could aspire to a more refined technique.

Dear Mr. theman,

Thank you for your kind words. Evil Squirrel and I had a little chat last night, and we agreed that he would be the one to draw things, and I would be the one to compose music. I think all of us will be better off if we stick to that.

Love,
Annie, your birthday twin

That was fantastic. I even had a shout out buried in there somewhere.

I hope there's a way to permanently keep this because I want one if there is.
There's a lot of talent on this bored. Thanks for doing this!

Above all, I am floored at how awesome this is. I have more to say, but it will have to wait.
