This reminds me of what my dad used to call the "Lick and Look". My sister was just telling the kids about this the other day, but I can't remember what brought it up. Anyway,
BITD we didn't have money for much entertainment so the majority of our fun involved people watching (while waiting in the grocery store parking lot, picking my mom up from work downtown, etc.). The Lick and Look concept was that people can't eat an ice cream cone without looking at it between licks. So when we'd go to the Velvet Freeze during the summer, we played the Lick and Look game (sort of like I Spy on a car trip). The first person to find somebody that took two licks of their cone in a row without stopping, pulling it back and looking at it would win.
Tougher than it sounds. Go down to the ice cream stand and try it yourself. Or give it a try on your own, you'll find yourself looking down every time!
If we went out for ice cream at night, we'd drive around the neighbourhood looking in people's windows instead of staying at the stand for the Lick and Look.
