A gunman killed 14 children and a teacher at a Texas elementary school

Another shooting spree, this time in Bend, OR. A 20-year-old man armed with an AR-15 style assault rifle and a shotgun entered a Safeway grocery store Sunday night and killed two people before killing himself. He first starting firing in the parking lot before entering the store. Police found another shotgun and three Molotov cocktails in his car. Apparently, one of the victims was a store employee who tried to stop the shooter and probably prevented more casualties.

Police found a number of online posts that appear to have come from this shooter saying he was partially inspired by the Columbine killings and that he originally planned to shoot up a high school in a couple of weeks before changing his mind. At this time, there doesn't appear to be any political motivation behind the attack.
