That's easier said than done. The racists will simply spout a version of this same argument and claim that they are just trying to "preserve our heritage," the same as they do with the Confederate monuments.jarnon wrote: No, we can't let white nationalists pervert our heritage! Unlike the Confederate flag, the Betsy Ross flag has stood for many admirable ideas before they tried to appropriate it. Letting them redefine it as a racist symbol is giving them power. We have to take it back!

There are millions more of us than them. If Americans of all races wear the Betsy Ross flag on their sneakers, shirts, etc., the racists will be overwhelmed.silverscreenselect wrote:That's easier said than done. BTW, many of the ways we use the modern flag, such as putting it on our clothes or holding it flat on a football field, are deemed disrespectful and unpatriotic by the federal flag law.

I never knew that the Philadephia 76ers is a white nationalist group.silverscreenselect wrote: First, the blowback against the "Betsy Ross flag" has nothing to do with Betsy personally. It's due to the fact that the flag has been appropriated by white nationalist and hate groups over the years, not to the extent of the Confederate battle flag, but still significantly.
Say it ain't so, Joe(l Embid)!
