A-17. “Inside each and every one of us is one true authentic swing. Somethin' we was born with. Somethin' that's ours and ours alone. Somethin' that can't be taught to ya or learned. Somethin' that got to be remembered. Over time the world can rob us of that swing. It get buried inside us under all our wouldas and couldas and shouldas. Some folk even forget what their swing was like.”

Shouldda caught this earlier

WILL SMITH as Bagger Vance

A-33. “Stan, Stan, uh, I wanna' remind you, lad, that you're now 37 years old. And quite frankly, it's time that you settled down. Now, Edna and I were discussing it last night, and Edna feels - and frankly I agree with her - that there is something almost immoral about a man of your age who isn't married. Doesn't go to an office, sits around drawing an infantile comic strip, that appeals only to morons, Stanley. Stanley? Stanley? Are you listening?”

Like, sss, I knew the movie but wanted to check the actor.

From How To Murder Your Wife,

EDDIE MAYEHOFF (WHO WAS IN THE STOOGE)

B-12. The title of this Carol Reed film references both a traditional Passover song and a unicorn.

I know nothing of Passover songs but didn't the little boy in A KID FOR TWO FARTHINGS think if he got a goat, it would be a unicorn?

Or something like that. It's been years.

George Gobel.

Didn't make many movies. One of them, though, was something with Diana Dors, who was in A Kid for Two Farthings.

(She and Celia Johnson are the only people I remember. I don't even remember the kid with the kid).

I don't know how it goes together.

And Eddie Mayehoff and The Stooge.

And

BTW ...

A-23. “I would rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special.”

is this JULIA ROBERTS in Steel Magnolias? Where she's arguing with Sally Field about being happy.

B-18. In this 1947 film noir, a doctor cheats on his wife, fakes his own death, and is eventually executed for murdering himself.

I just realized this is NORA PRENTISS. Ann Sheridan is Nora. Rosemary DeCamp is the wife. The doctor (Kent Smith??), changes his looks ....

I think you've got it here. It's not just being in a movie together.

George Gobel was in I Married a Woman with Diana Dors. George was the "I" and Diana was the woman. Eddie Mayeoff appeared in That's My Boy with Jerry Lewis (also in The Stooge) as his son. Films with title characters are common; those with multiple title characters aren't that common.

Mike Myers appeared in So I Married an Ax Murderer. I remember that Nancy Travis was his wife who he thought was the murderer, but I can't remember who the actual murderer was in the movie.

Wallace Shawn did My Dinner with Andre with Andre Gregory. I'll bet that somewhere in Gregory's filmography is one of the movies on the list.

Rick Moranis did Honey I Shrunk the Kids. The same logic would apply with one of the actors playing the kids or possibly the "honey."

If the linking film is further limited by I, Me, My or words like that it would really narrow the list down.

A-62. Although she did have roles in a few major productions – most notably as the daughter of Joan Bennett and Leo G. Carroll and the daughter of Jane Wyman – she is better remembered (if at all) as a 1950s “scream queen.”
This is Gloria Talbot; knowing the Tangredi made this one fairly easy since she starred in I Married a Monster from Outer Space.

More reflection; it's not having two people, it's the I, Me, or My part of it.

Mark Linn-Baker's best known film is My Favorite Year. Obviously, no one played the year, but his best known co-star in that film was Peter O'Toole, who was in Supergirl, which answers that question.

Other roles that make the list:

Paul Newman in Somebody Up There Likes Me
Daniel Day-Lewis in My Left Foot.
Susan Hayward in I Want to Live
Michael Landon in I Was a Teenage Werewolf
Judy Davis in My Brilliant Career
Eddie Redmayne in My Week with Marilyn

Heading to bed now but I'm sure that the links will come quickly.

And Gary Conway was in I Was a Teen-aged Frankenstein (please don't ask me how I know that).

Both that and Teenaged Werewolf had Whit Bissell, who was in Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Will Smith was in I, Robot and I Am Legend.

I had a feeling Gobel or Landon would be the key. Good job!

To clarify: I did not count first person plural titles.

If I'm not mistaken, Will Smith was IN I, Robot, but he didn't play any of the robots. So I'm not sure if that's a valid match. Frank was careful to give secondary actors Mark-Linn Baker and Eddie Redmayne because they were the "My" in those movies.

Also, one I remember from growing up, Fred MacMurray was in Follow Me Boys.

I can confirm that A-34 is correct.

Chris Makepeace was in My Bodyguard with a bunch of notable people--Adam Baldwin, Joan Cusack, Matt Dillon, Ruth Gordon, John Houseman, Martin Mull--so take your pick.

That time when we were in Windrixville was the only time I've ever been away from my neighborhood.”
This was complete working backwards. Seeing the Home Alone movie on the film list made me think of Joe Pesci and My Cousin Vinny, which meant that Ralph Macchio had to be on the list. Looking over the unused actor clues and his filmography, and this one fit. I guessed it would be from The Outsiders and it is.

Will Smith is probably here for I Am Legend. But I can't recall a co-star and it's waaaaaaaay too early to be looking stuff up.

A-19. has to be WENDY HILLER (and RIP John Hurt, about whom she was speaking)

A-19. WENDY HILLER (I Know Where' I'm Going) with Roger Livzsey (B-34. COLONEL BLIMP)

And could there be a Dirk Bogarde movie to give us Judy Garland in I Could Go on Singing?

Speaking of Judy ...

A-57. GENE KELLY (For Me and My Gal) with Judy Garland (B-1. THE WIZARD OF OZ)
A-80. AL JOLSON (Hallalujah, I'm a Bum!) with Frank Morgan (B-1. THE WIZARD OF OZ)

Gene Hackman was in I Never Sang for My Father; the match is probably with Melvyn Douglas.

W.C. Fields was in My Little Chickadee.

Michael J. Fox was in The Secret of My Success with Helen Slater (Supergirl).

A-54. JOHN GARFIELD (They Made Me a Criminal) with Ann Sheridan (B-18. NORA PRENTISS)
A-30. MICHAEL CRAWFORD (How I Won the War) with John Lennon (B-29. A HARD DAY'S NIGHT)

A-20. SUSAN HAYWARD (I Want to Live) with Simon Oakland (B-50. WEST SIDE STORY)
A-14. VICTOR MATURE (My Gal Sal) with Rita Hayworth (B-24. LADY FROM SHANGHAI)

B-10. This 1959 British courtroom drama was partially inspired by the real-life story of Martin Guerre.

LIBEL

I looked this one up to see if it might complete a partial. It gives us two matches.

A-70. RICHARD BURTON (My Cousin Rachel) with Olivia deHaviland (B-10. LIBEL)
A-18. JUDY GARLAND (I Could Go on Singing) with Dirk Bogarde (B-10. LIBEL)

Jim Carrey was in Me, Myself and I (which I guess is about as complete a match for this game as you're going to get).

Sylvester Stallone did Stop or My Mom Will Shoot. Estelle Getty was the mom.
