This Is Where It All Begins!
Thank you for registering to take the Jeopardy! Adult Online Test. You're now one step closer to becoming a contestant on America's Favorite Quiz Show®.
Jeopardy! will send you a reminder email as we approach the event. Remember, if you miss out you'll have to wait a whole year for another opportunity, so start your preparations now!
Of course, just watching and playing along with Jeopardy! is one of the best ways to prepare for the Adult Online Test, but you can also get ready for the big day by taking the Practice Test or checking out our Insiders' Tips. The Insiders' Tips are a great resource for some valuable information on what to expect from the online test, what happens after the test is over, and how to prepare to be a contestant.
Thanks for being a part of the Jeopardy! community! Be sure to mark your calendar and set your reminders. Your online test date is the most important day of the year and we're not just saying that because we're totally biased.

The confirmation email does not tell you the date and time of your test. Kind of goofy, if you asked me. I know the date and time, but I might 'forget' in a week or two. I wonder if the reminder email will tell me?

I don't recall needing to select a specific day/time when I signed up this time (and in previous years one didn't need to stick to a certain time). They will probably send the reminder the day before or morning of the first day of testing, with the direct link.BackInTex wrote:The confirmation email does not tell you the date and time of your test. Anyhow, my confirmation *just* arrived - about 15-16 hours after I signed up.

I'm pretty sure I had to select one of the three choices (selected April 15th, 8:00PM CDT) and then it prompted me or then gave me the "Congrats you're registered" screen.popartist wrote:I don't recall needing to select a specific day/time when I signed up this time (and in previous years one didn't need to stick to a certain time). Going back to look....it looks like you're right. You don't actually select a date/time.

Mine did too- and you now no longer have to pick a date- you can take the test on any of those three days.popartist wrote:I don't recall needing to select a specific day/time when I signed up this time (and in previous years one didn't need to stick to a certain time). In the past, they split the tests up by region...they don't do that anymore.

IIRC in the past the confirmation email included a confirmation number that had to be entered before taking the test. There wasn't one this time. It may show up when the "reminder" email is sent out.

In years past, they would send you a reminder e-mail a day or so before the test to make sure you remembered it.
I usually would write down my password-test date to remind myself when to be in front of the computer.
On a semi-related subject-due to the lack of city selection in the Midwest, do you think they are going to revive the Brain Bus? It's about time they did.

Gotta do this myself. I wonder if it was a glitch with the Boston button. Back in a few.earendel wrote:You can try registering again - if you use the same information you'll get a message on the registration screen indicating that the user name is not unique.popartist wrote:I registered last night although it doesn't appear I got a confirmation in my email, wonder if I should do it again. I chose Boston for any in-person audition. I am currently in the WWTBAM contestant pool and got far in The Chase casting last season, but still no calls, so I may as well get my hopes up and have them dashed here too.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Ditto here. I'm not unique, all evidence to the contrary. Still taping my watch for the confirmation.popartist wrote:

I figured the user id and password were replacing the confirmation number. I don't remember having to do that before...
BTW, since when did Jeopardy become "America's Favorite Quiz Show®?"

J! has used the "America's Favorite Quiz Show" tagline for years.
Apparently there isn't a second favorite, since nobody watches WWTBAM much anymore.

I received the confirmation email the same day. Are you sure you submitted correctly? And, I'm with Jeemie, my recall is for shit.
Well, then

I tried re-entering the data and got the "login information not unique" message. Maybe I did something stupid like mistyping my e-mail? Should I try creating another login username and password and see what happens? At least I've got a few days to figure this out.Beebs52 wrote:I received the confirmation email the same day.
