Still, you might forgive someone playing the game for the first time making a mistake like that (although you'd hope they'd have watched the show before). But for a returning contestant to do so?

Yeah but we are talking about 'Brachel'. Sigh.

Well for Globetrotter, Cowboys and Margie/Luke it's their 3 time, and Mallory was a forth time, so yes, I give them some leeway.

As a soccer coach, the penalty shot roadblock had me intrigued. I have to wonder how much they tell the professional athletes to go easy. The goalkeepers didn't seem to make much effort on some of the shots that were blockable, especially a couple of the Brenchel (gag!)'s shots. It seems like there would be a way for the producers to manipulate the race by having more effort made against some teams than others. At the risk of sounding cynical (gasp!) it looked to me like that is exactly what was happening. It's also inexcusable for a team on their second (or is it third?) go around to misread a clue that badly.

It also appeared to me that the goalkeeper did not make much effort unless the ball was kicked directly to him. I'm not sure whether he made more of an effort against some teams, but in the past lots of suspicious things have happened on this show.

I disagree. I think the boob queens were given most of their shots. I think the producers wanted the boobs, the afghanimals and brenchel in the final three. Old man team is too boring for words.

I would guess editing came into play and the goalies eased up based on number of shots. There was a table tennis challenge and the kid started picking up odd items as a handicap as the players failed.

No, the producers are not going to favor a team and have the goalies field the kicks differently based on who they like. The goalies themselves may has defended differently based on who was kicking. You can decide how each team may have influenced the goalies.

Brendon & Rachel looked quite competent with the kicks and were going to make them sooner than later no matter what the goalie (or producers) may have wanted. Leo & Jamal talked a big game, but they were not as good with the kicks as I thought they would be. Dave, Connor, Caroline and Jennifer were embarrasing. There seemed to be a learning curve for some of them to lift the ball and go far left or far right.

If that's what they wanted, they failed, since the Afghanimals "shoulda taken that left turn in Albuquerque". I was hoping Brendon and Rachel (I can't bring myself to call them by their "team name") would be ousted.

I'm rooting for Dave and Connor, so I'm not unhappy to see the Afghanimals go, but I was kinda hoping to get rid of one of the whiners.

I was so so about Dave and Connor, until Dave turned into a teenage girl with his whining.

First - He beat Cancer. Cheered him in that season.

Second, He ruptured his Achilles tendon, was give the express pass, and won a leg of the race.

Now, he is too old to be treated the same as the other racers, How dare they Uturn an old man, and he has continued with the too old song and dance.

Lost my support after that.

I thought all the whining by Dave and Connor about getting U turned was dumb and even though the Greenies were my least favorite team I might have U turned Dave and Connor as well given how the game is set up. It is clear that winning a leg has some value and no matter how much of a lead you build up it is going to most likely get negated in the next leg so if a U turn gets you a first place on the leg I don't have a problem with it.

That said, and I didn't really like any of the remaining teams that much (was rooting for the Cowboys, who were often their own worst enemy, until they got the cowboy boot) but of the three left I was happy to see Dave and Connor win. The Boobs were my distant second choice.

At the risk of being cynical (gasp) I still think the producers were trying to set it up that Team Green would win. They live in Vegas, she used to work at the very casino they had to go to, there was no brain taxing memory chalenge from earlier legs. I'm not sure why, other than to get promos for Big Brother a boost (and I'm sorry, whining about not winning when you've already come away with a million before is just annoying) but I smell a serious rat.
