A snowstorm that caused a Thanksgiving Eve power outage in the Northeast left christie wondering if she'd have to grill the turkey for the big feast. I took a break from that day's parade to draw up an avatar with christie's character doing a little grilling of a different kind of beast.... poor Buster, the martyr of my gang. The apple in the possum's mouth, as well as the perfectly placed meat thermometer are my favorite aspects of this one. While christie has made sure the time in my artwork has always been 11:11, she always wanted more in the way of recognition from ES... and thanks to being in the dark, she gets to make her first ever countdown appearance with the tasty.... um... morsel in front of her. Don't fight over the drumsticks, everyone!
Yay!
I finally made the countdown!
Yay!
I think my Bored avatar remains the one and only avatar lb has made that includes me. --Bob
Your avatar wasn't even an avatar, so it doesn't count....
And you would be incorrect! You were a part of my attorney shooting gallery avatar from March 2011 along with clem, wintergreen, and tmitsss....

Well, that avatar was inspired by the original member of the Michigan Bar Association....
Here is the post I introduced it in....

What did the avatar look like?

I've been saying that to LB in Chat for months, and he never denies it. Poor Buster.

#18. "The Snow Eagle"
Debuted: 12/8/13
Fanny once asked if the first avatar of the year had ever made it into the countdown. The answer is no... in fact, the first avatar of the year has never even made the honorables. The last avatar of the year, however, is really hampered by the fact that I've pretty much been putting the countdown together already. That didn't keep the Beebs inspired "Heart Shaped Bed" from making an honorable in 2011, but this is the first time the year's final avatar has made the Big Show... and it did it thanks to a rousing chorus of support since I didn't even originally have it on my list at all. On a day when it fittingly is snowing like the dickens outside where I live, we get Kiki riding a snowplow through the streets of Auburn... an avatar borne half out of my feelings over the way snow removal is (not) handled in the South, and the Auburn Tigers winning the SEC championship off the heels of their miracle finish vs. Alabama. I must admit this avatar has a lot of charm to it, but then again, it does star the one and only Kiki....

#17. "And The Angels Sing"
Debuted: 11/1/13
gsabc was convinced that nothing short of producing a heavenly choir could convince anyone to hire him, and there is nothing more heavenly than a trio of singing squirrel girls... complete with wings, halos, and a harp! While MBRS, Angel, and Sandy have yet to win over any of the Scrooges doing the hiring, I have faith that their charm will eventually be irresistible. For now, they will have to be satisfied that singing for GS's supper got them a lofty spot in the countdown.

#16. "No ghosts Allowed!"
Debuted: 1/12/13
I can't describe the countdown worthiness of this avatar any better than my short summary for it that can be found in my avatar archive, so here it is....
In what seemed like the last days of the Bored, ghost was letting her paranoia and distrust of me get the best of her, and was desperately clinging on to what Bob Juch was trying to argue the problem with the Bored was, and accusing me and my "clique" of simply refusing to listen to him and not involve him in any new Bored that might be set up. Since unlike ghost, I respond with wit rather than with 2 X 4's, I made up this little avatar of ES and the girls high atop their private treehouse, with an apparently "overweight" lemur at the bottom chastising them for not allowing ghosts into their clubhouse. Bob called this avatar way out of line, which may have been one of the best compliments I could get on it!
To those with a sense of humor, this is an adorably cute take on the apparent rift between me and ghost. To those without a sense of humor, it is just another horrible, awful, mean act by me. Let your conscience be your guide on this one...

Definitely another horrible, awful, mean act by you. Couldn't have said it better myself. Oh wait, I say stuff like that to you all the time . . .

#15. "O Brother!"
Debuted: 7/1/13
What could have possibly inspired such a sweet picture of the twin squirrel pups Blaze and Sulphur other than.... um... a Bored discussion about incest. In sports, they say ties are like kissing your sister, but I'm not sure what the equivalent is for kissing your brother. Regardless, this avatar is a visual gem that calls to mind 2011's #1 avatar "I Kissed A Squirrel", only unlike with Angel, there is no question what Sully thinks about having his sister plant a surprise smooch on his cheekfur while he was minding his own business playing with his phone. At his age, he is no doubt worried about cooties...

#14. "Free Lizzie!"
Debuted: 2/12/13
Poor Lizbit... what has she done now to end up getting her mugshot taken? Nothing... in fact, it appears to be a case of mistaken identity! When the publisher of Vandal's first book "Dizzie Miss Lizzie" decided to go Chapter 11 without paying Vandal's royalties or offering back the rights to his book, the rallying cry became "Free Lizzie!" And that is how Lizbit got caught in the crossfire of being the subject for this avatar. Look at that innocent face... sure, she may have once licked a person to death, but what crime could she have possibly committed? I hope Bob Juch has more bail money...

I just want everyone to know that is not a real mug shot of me. I've never had long, blonde fur. I'm more the perky brunette type.
