You and fanny both missed the cut by single digits.....

It isn't a stretch at all that you could both debut in the Top 100 next week...

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Well, it was going to happen eventually, anyhow. But since my current posting rate significantly exceeds OkiePat's, I won't be out of the picture forever. Unless some other upstarts pass me in the meantime.

Unlike some, I can still hear while I am talking.

It's a gift.

I like your avatar, even if your eyelids aren't flipped.

Well, I guess I will just try to keep plugging away with my post or two every other day and see if it will keep me close to you posters with more to say. 8)
I felt the change

Time meant nothing and never would again

That sounds like a good idea.

My eyelids flipped after I ate that cockroach

And they returned to normal after I ate the earthworm stirfry.

Thanks as always for doing this, LB.

Have I told you lately how studly you are when you do the weekly rankings?

These whippersnappers don't even begin to understand the notion of gratuitous posting. hbomb and I were tops at it. The Verbose Class got its name for a reason.

At least until Sprots and pea got mouthy.
Hey! I am a member of the Old Class.

LB talked about a phenomenon which occurred in my case. A person would post along until she or he got to maybe 1,100 posts (I think that was the number), and then, if she or he hadn't dropped out, boom! Her or his posting rate would skyrocket!

And so it was in my case, and I was soon in the Top Ten.

And then I started Seven Clues. :D

That may have been Eyegor who came up with that. I'm sure you were already well above the 1100 mark before I took over the rankings.

My favorite rankings phenomenon was how people seemed to disappear from the Bored after reaching 4,000 posts. Ted, gretagarbo, oldernow, RevDodd, vandal (I know he's still around, but rarely posts) and vails (for a while) all got stuck shortly after crossing the 4,000 post threshold....
