I'm holding out for v2.0, with Exchange support and a SDK that's supposed to encourage the creation 3rd party apps.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:Congratulations!KillerTomato wrote:MarleysGh0st wrote: Is it an iPhone?
DING DING!!! We have a winner!
My cell contract was up, and I've wanted one since the day they came out. Since I officially do NOT have to send $1000 to the G.W. Bush Presidential Library Fund (yep, I made my goal on time!), I took that money and bought myself this nifty new iPhone. And yes, it's the coolest thing I own.
I have a new toy.

Since it's only a software update, it'll be pushed via iTunes to current users. But there is one reason to wait...rumor has it that the 3G cell-network version will be out in the late 3rd quarter 2008, and that will run non-WiFi internet mucho mucho faster. Since that's a hardware upgrade, it won't be available to people with the current handsets.
But I think the 3G iPhone will be more expensive, and the monthly plan (currently $59.99 with 450 minutes of usage (which I'll never exceed) and unlimited data) will cost quite a bit more.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

You're right - I would prefer the 3G version. And I hope that they fix the battery problem (having to send it away to get it replaced).KillerTomato wrote:earendel wrote:I'm holding out for v2.0, with Exchange support and a SDK that's supposed to encourage the creation 3rd party apps.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote: Congratulations!
