I'm not sure I dare to ask...

To further clarify, "found it" began when uly would rapid fire change his avatars back in the early days of this Bored, always in response to some particular post. It became somewhat of a game to be the first to find the corresponding post to one of his avatar changes. When I began doing essentially the same thing as uly over 4 years ago (only drawing all of mine using my ES-inspired characters, usually in quick time), I became a part of the "game" as well. Lady Soleil's Wacky Cards, featuring a reboot of the character I drew in your portrait that you just installed as your avatar, is ES avatar #511 for me... all of which can be found starting here!

To further, further clarify, this game started back in the days when there was a more-or-less separate day crew and night crew, both of which were prolific in their postings. Those of us in the day crew would arrive and start reading through hundreds of posts from the night before and notice that uly had changed his avatar yet again, and there'd be a mystery: what was it this time that prompted the change? And so there'd be a shout of discovery when one of us finally found the inspirational thread.

It's not much of a game when you're right there in a thread's conversation and see uly or lb change their avatar pretty much right away, but, like so much of the Bored, it's different from the good ol' days.
