Thanks Beebs! I'm pretty sure being called an all-purpose household cleaner is a compliment, but "gent"?? Someone's been feeding you inaccurate intel.Beebs52 wrote:Mr. Bone! I was reading an Entertainment Weekly story on 50 years of Bond over the weekend and when they mentioned Pussy Galore, my first thought was "where was the proofreader on this? It's PURSES, dammit!!"

I'd have to agree with you on that, but it is still better than much of what is out there these days.elwoodblues wrote:Happy birthday! I was going to post the lyrics to the Beatles song Birthday, but it is not their best work.
Hey, I'm 55 now. Grumpy and opinionated comes with the territory.

By the way, the first review from a T-Bone grandchild is in: "Lizzie" got the Caity seal of approval. It is now getting passed on to the next reader.
And yes, I selfishly read it (and liked it) first. You have a definite gift (which I believe I may have mentioned once or thrice).

Re: Happy Birthday T-Bone!!!!!!!
Just wanted to personally reply to everyone who took the time to post their wishes. I am really happy to have been a part of this community for all these years.
I was treated to a most awesome gift when I got home. My oldest (18) granddaughter and her boyfriend made dinner for me (Nancy had to work tonight), which is cool enough, but what is unbelievable is that, unbeknownst to me, the two of them have been working on a little project for the past few months.
My guitar, the Gibson SG that I have had since I was 12 years old, was pretty beat up as it was, and then it got caught in the last flood (I thought it was in a safe place but it was not). It was not destroyed but it was pretty unplayable. Well, Taylor (a pretty fine young guitarist..already better than I EVER was), with assistance from Caity, restored it to the point where it looks better that it has since the late 70's. He plugged it in and knocked out a few riffs, and it SOUNDS better than it has since the late 70's. Actually, better, since the one playing it had actual talent. I gotta tell you, it took everything I had not to bawl like a baby. Got pretty choked up, though. I'm thinking that this boy is a keeper. I'm also thinking that if this romance lasts (they've been together a year now), the guitar will eventually belong to him.
And to top it all off, the dude makes a pretty tasty meatloaf.
The day has improved considerably.
