Top o' the mornin'® to everybody! Yes, I know, that's earendel's trademark. I'm just using that to introduce the very first round of my third installment of the QoD, which will be on trademarks. Not Bored trademarks, but actual trademarks. So many words in our everyday conversations are brand names or registered trademarks. Below is a list of common English words. You must tell me if they are currently "trademarked" or not. Each correct yes/no is worth 1 point. The bonus is worth 5 points.

2. Lucite - Yes (Rohm and Haas)
3. Velcro - Yes (Velcro is also the company name)
4. Uzi - No
5. Aspirin - Either answer is OK (although it's no longer a trademark in the U.S., Bayer still owns the trademark internationally)
6. Zamboni - Yes (Zamboni is also the company name)
7. Galoshes - No
8. Rayon - No
9. Teflon - Yes (DuPont)
10. Maraschino - No
11. Cellophane - No (it used to be a trademark, but not anymore)
12. Kevlar - Yes (DuPont)
13. Popsicle - Yes (Unilever)
14. Polyester - No
