I doubt I'll be hitting up Quik Trip or any other lottery establishment in the next 3 days, so you all can have your $476 million. Though if someone wants to pay me $5 to buy some tickets, then you can use the even more highly scientific method of picking winning numbers by going with whatever isn't on any of my lines....

If I win $476M, I'll nag you to put the Unicorn Wrangler on the clutch so I'll have a bigger bag for all my money. I just noticed it in the American Gothic section...

That would hurt my shoulder. I don't even carry a big purse. I was so happy to finally ditch the diaper bags and travel lightly!! My problem is my wallet--it looks pregnant with all the store cards and insurance cards and all, and then I dump change in there as well and can't close it. So I have to remember to purge the change into the jar for rolling, and then I think I forgot my wallet since my purse is too light....

If I am the sole winner, I will seriously consider selling the ticket with some sort of heavy non-disclosure contract, to some hedge fund for $100MM, then let them cash it. I DO NOT want anyone to know I have that kind of scratch.

As someone mentioned before, "That's killin' money!" Actually, its beyond that.

Not a bad idea, but depending on the state, would it be legal? I just figured I'd put on sunglasses and a baseball cap and wear all black and use Microsoft Sam to answer my questions during the press conference.

You must live in a very ritzy neighborhood. Heck, I'm worried about people knowing that I won $10 last night. I found many different news articles about people being killed for $10.

For that kind of money you could buy 15 per cent of the Dodgers, probably a bigger share than Magic owns.

It may be "killin' money", but with ~$215 million free and clear after taxes, you can afford security.

Yeah, but who protects you from your own security guards?

This is really at the point......no joking around kind of money.

Yes, 100 million would change your life but at 500, I think your family would really need serious protection. Not trying to sound like a jerk or something.

I'll bet you could find 100 or so people on this Bored who would be more than happy to share the claim and get that jackpot down to something non-fatal.....

I plan to buy mine tomorrow. I went to a psychic in the fall who told me I'd have a financial windfall in March.

I'm hoping that my decision to return all my winter pop and beer bottles to the grocery store last week didn't count.

I've played that game before with co-workers. "What would you do with $XXX million dollars?" Usually people spend $5-10 million before they run out of ideas. Then that much wealth is kind of...daunting, almost. Do you really want that much money just sitting in a bank somewhere?

EDIT-Just saw the boost to $540 million/$389 million cash. I believe that means that from this point on, whoever wins will be a quarter of a billionaire after taxes. That's insane.

I got a lot of family to help me spend it, so it wouldn't be doing much sitting. But it better last for generations or I will haunt my kids and grandkids!

I definitely could see having some stoopid fun to feel decadent, but then going back to clipping coupons because I'm just That Way. And a lot of it will get shared because I'm also That Way...

I also have a new business plan. The Unicorn/Donut thing has run into a snag (lack of unicorns) so I will start the Pygmy Goat Protection Squad. Dogs are more attainable and trainable.

Anyone thinking of bullying pygmy goats should be Very Afraid...
