What is this "sun" thing of which you speak? Round warm yellow ball of light? I seem to have hazy memories of it from my past....
I was shoveling some of that yesterday and it looks like more is on the way.
I'd have you put a shovelful into a box and mail it to me, but I'll just fly out that way for Christmas instead and get some for myself!

Why does the Avatar Countdown start with #19? Did I miss 20 somewhere along the way?

#20 was the one with the ball bouncing off one head into the glove. BallHawks. It is in the first post of this thread.

While Sprots will always be ES's one and only true love, it is no secret that his favorite avatar mavens were none other than Hooly and Odyssey. So when the two took to having a war of words in a thread over the quality of contestants on WWTBAM last February, it stirred up one of ES's fantasies, and this avatar was presented. Since the two ladies represented here got into it numerous different times throughout the month, this became something of a recurring avatar. If Sprots really wanted ES away from her back door, she should try to get the catfighters to come back.....
I missed this entire incident, thankfully, but I would have pictured ES as the type of guy to fantasize about two chicks Jello-wrestling wearing thongs rather than this matchup with actual weapons... :P

ES is a rough character...... after all, his true love wields nuclear weaponry.....

lb13
One would think that being threatened by nuclear weaponry by someone would take that someone out of the running for any true love category. See earlier discussion about sanity in this thread . . .

Perhaps a sternly worded letter is in order for the judges of this sham..... just make sure to use small stern words since ES's reading comprehension is still a bit weak.....

#18: "Scritch Reform"

Debuted: 3/22/10

Image

Health care reform was all the rage back in March as Congress was coming close to passing what is now known as Obamacare. Though ES generally tends to snub politics on principle, he and MBRS decided to get involved for once, and capitalize on the opportunity to get scritch reform passed.... opening up the borders of ALL states, including those rectangular shaped ones, to squirrels of all stripes. This avatar, which taunted Sprots for a good week and even got a recurring role at some point in the year, also came with something I have never had before in the three years we have been on this site.... a signature! While I never saved the text of that signature, it basically said to help ES and MBRS fight for scritch reform.... call or write your Congressmen today.....

How about a favor or two for another of your fellow vulpines? Like canceling all the Sprots avatars out of the Top 20?

ES's tribute to the Oscars was this little beauty featuring a befuddled, confused, and very much surprised Sprots accepting a cute little squirrel trophy (Perhaps they are called the Evils), winning in a category that we are sure ES just made up. While this is yet another avatar I threatened to make #1 all year long, in reality, it didn't stand a chance in this year's crop. But it has many things to love, and oddly enough I think the thing I like the best about it is the reddish background. That color should be called "awards show red" or something like that.....

The red does set it apart from the others.

Well, at least someone in a Bronco uniform won something this year (sorry Sprots)
