I often comment on their relative horrificness, or horribleness, or awfulness the instant I see them. Makes no neverminds. LB ignores us all.FannytheBull wrote:SportsFan68 wrote:Dream on, Marley. It ain't happening.MarleysGh0st wrote:

They're his'n's, and they're gonna stay his'n's, and there ain't no way he's gonna take input as he originally described in "audience reaction" at the start.
We'll have to wait and see how much and what reactions played a part when we get his commentary on each one. As I recall, he said that peoples' reactions to the avatar when it was initially posted would be a factor, but he never said there would be any sort of vote.
So, if you commented on avatars as they appeared, you got to exercise your vote!
Well, maybe not Fanny, as she is sticking up for LB in this . . .

Re: 2010 ES Avatar Countdown: The Honorable Mentions
The next 5 honorable mentions........
"Let Me in!"
Debuted: 2/1/10

Sprots put up this avatar of how much snow a huge snowstorm piled up at the backdoor of Casa Matias, so naturally I had to work off of ES's legendary screen door avatar to add him to this one banging on the back door to be let in out of the cold. Es's desperate expression to be brought in from the snow is what makes this one for me, as well as the paw to the glass.....
"Evil's Angels"
Debuted: 5/1/10

I drew this avatar of ES's fictitious band in time for the start of Eyegor's Music Madness game that ran most of May and June, and liked it enough top leave it up for a while. This one even got a modification when ghost complained at one point that her computer screen had gotten tilted 90 degrees, so to mess with her I reposted this avatar tilted the same way. BTW, whoever did win Music Madness, the Talking Heads or the Rolling Stones? I don't think Eyegor ever did let us know.......
"Tulle ES"
Debuted: 6/3/10

Upon request from Fanny that Sprots once again post the picture of cute little tulle kitty, and uly joining the effort by making it his avatar, I had to get ES in on the tulle action and up comes this too cute for words avatar of ES on the tulle. Everyone loved seeing Tulle ES, especially Sprots!
"The Oily Squirrel"
Debuted: 7/26/10

After lilclyde commented that he had just got back from a vacation in Florida without seeing so much as a drop of oil from last Spring's disastrous BP oil spill, and BiT shared a similar experience, ES just had to play the contrarian, coming up with this avatar of Sprots getting ready to scrub him with Dawn after a dip in the Gulf of Mexico. Dawn loves to advertise on its package how it helps save wildlife caught up in oil disasters, but will it get ES nice and fluffy once again? Only Sprots knows the answer.....
"License to Scritch"
Debuted: 11/3/10

In one of earendel's top o the morning reports, he mentioned that Elwing was still driving around on the Alaska drivers license she got there last summer in her failed attempt to drive a tour bus there. Why? Because it looked cool! That made ES want to go out and get one, so he found a sample license somewhere and just added his picture and vitals to it via his own ways of phonying up things. Not sure though whether it would get Sarah Palin to scritch him or not.....

"Knitwit"
Still love it!
And it is proudly displayed in my sewing area!"Knitwit"
Debuted: 6/2/10
Fanny asked for advice from christie and Christy on the Bored on knitting, so I took advantage of Angel's reputation for "not being quite clear on the concept" and drew up this avatar. I liked the idea so much, as did christie, that I redid it full size and better quality and gave her a copy of it to cherish forever....
Still love it!

I think Tulle ES gives Rainbow Donkey a run for the money. . .
Sprots would never get close enough to ES to pour Dawn on him. He should go to Hawaii; they don't have oil spills there.
I too would like to know the outcome of Eyegor's Music Madness game.

ES is not cute.
My dream of #1 is Crawlspace Fanny.
I glad a few of these showed up here, Tulle ES for example. Means they didn't make the countdown.

Re: 2010 ES Avatar Countdown: The Honorable Mentions
And now, the final five honorable mentions that didn't quite make the Top 20......
"Angel of the Slopes"
Debuted: 2/18/10

With the Winter Olympics this year in Saucy's backyard, there was plenty of talk about the games there, and ES got in on the action with this avatar of Angel doing a little skiing. Angel doesn't get to appear in many of my avatars, but when she does, especially the solo appearances, they always seem to turn out great. I recall I left this one up for a long time, and not just because of the length of the games. I'm pretty sure it was my avatar when I left for Oklahoma a week later....
"Laker Socks"
Debuted: 5/7/10

This was Fanny's birthday avatar this year, and the idea for it came from her most recent knitting project at the time when she was practicing on some socks with two different colors of yarn, and only realized halfway through that they were the colors of the Los Angeles Lakers.... a rival of her NUGGETS!!!!!11 Fanny was quite happy to see the purple and gold socks immortalized in avatar form, and I'll bet I just knocked another one out of her Top 20.....
"Atomic Squirrel"
Debuted: 6/13/10

Sprots has come up with a lot of different, but ultimately ineffective ways to keep ES away from her. This avatar celebrated her new effort to have ES blown up in a nuclear blast. It doesn't appear that ES was affected by the blast, though I'd worry about the potential fallout. This is just a neat little avatar that seems to have gotten a little action elsewhere on the Net as well.....
"Gone Fishing"
Debuted: 9/24/10

Sprots mentioned having a little aluminum fishing boat she wanted to list in the classified ads, and ES was kind enough to take it off her hands. He then apparently went to Stately Harris Manor to check out the fishing in the pool. Kiki did not seem to be amused, but apparently all ES caught that day was a drowned chipmunk and Mark John Boy's Speedos....
"Patdown!"
Debuted: 11/16/10

With the TSA catching a lot of flak over the policy on using patdowns for those who refused to be subjected to the new scanners, ES was quick to come up with this little fantasy avatar. We will assume it was not Sprots' fantasy being portrayed here. The snapping of the glove and look of frustration on Sprots' face make this one almost too perfect to not include in the Top 20.....
But it did miss, along with the others I have reposted over the past 3 days. Which ones will make the Top 20? Tune in tomorrow as #20 is revealed and count down the remaining days of the year with your favorite ES avatars of 2010!!!!

However, I still wear those damned socks around the house all the time when my feet are cold. They're the greatest! They're big and slouchy and comfortable and they're made out of acrylic, which means they will be one of the few things to survive the nuclear explosion. Along with Keith Richards, Willie Nelson and ES.....
Meanwhile, BOOM! goes the dynamite. Two more go down to defeat. I'm amazed I have any picks left that survived.....

It's a mixed bag today. I'm really glad that the TSA avatar's out but really sorry that Laker Sox, some mangy rodent being blown to bits by nuclear weaponry, and Skiing Angel got the axe.
