I have requested all their benefit package information prior to making a decision. The job is not a state job. I would be working for a private non-profit medical company.
Congratulations, fuzzy!
I hope the offer they give you is a good one!

I have given my current job the information so that they could make a counter offer to me.
I will know more today. Thank you for all the encouragment!

Great news! Let's hope the counter-offer is a good one. It's nice to know that one is wanted.

Would you want the same job with better $ or the new job?
I wonder how happy you are at the current job if you were looking?
Hope you get the best of the 2 possibilities.

christie...
Its not the people that I immediately work for who are the issue. They are doing everything in their power to help me out.
I love my job, and I am a loyal person, this is a very difficult decision for me to make.

May your current employer give you a counter offer so magnificent that decisions can be made instantly (assuming you really would like to stay where you are.)

What exciting news! I had a feeling when you said they were calling your references that you were a shoe-in. Then again, I've pretty much had a positive feeling ever since you posted the original message.
Choices, choices....
Do either one of them offer room for advancement, and if so, is that something you want?

The new job offers room for advancement. In my current job, there is nothing above me. I would have to apply for a different job within the University to advance in my career.
Thank you all again for being a great soundboard for me. Its very helpful!
A counter offer has not com in as of yet...I am waiting, as the clock is ticking!
