I just took a quick look through most of the styles that are available, and found:Bob78164 wrote:I'm partial to AeroRed myself, which has the same features and (in my opinion) is more attractive. --BobEstonut wrote:Speaking of the interface, it is configureable (changeable) from within the "User Control Panel," which should appear as a link near the top of this page. Many of us prefer the "Subsilver2" choice, as it puts the Bored Member and their associated avatar and other info on the left side of each of their posts.
The Aero<color> series is similar and more attractive, as you said, but I just like having each thread in a grid-type presentation, so my eyes follow along correctly from a (short) thread Subject line to the creator of the thread. I liked very much that, for each user in a thread, it shows at the bottom of the user information box what is that user's current status (ie. online/offline). A few others had that feature too, while other styles just have a list of currently-online users at the bottom.
I didn't like the Getaway<color> series because it puts the date and time of the post underneath the block on the left which contains the user information & avatar.
Cesium is horrible because the font and background colors are too similar to distinguish. You have to mouse over whatever you want to read.
Hello Kitty caused my eyes to bleed and my brain to twitch.
I don't like any of the ones with the user info on the right.
A few others were nearly identical to subsilver2. From what I could tell, there were just slight differences in the look of the icons.
