Yeah-- my New Yawker husband and I fight over SanDUSKy SanDOOsky. But we've learned the Nevahda Nevada rule...

So which is it? Nevahda or Nevada?

And while you're at it can you work on the Missouree/Missourah/Lou-ee-siana/Lousiana things as well.
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Did Meredith have the right pronunciation for your hometown? San-doo-sky and not San-dus-ky?

What does she know, she's from Rhode Island. It's San-DUSK-y. At least to us Western PAers. And whoever does the voiceovers for the Cedar Point commercials.

And re-confirmed by this Ohioan, there is no "dew" in Sandusky. :-)

When I was born, my mother and father lived on Sandusky Ave. outside of L.A. I've never heard a "dew" in Sandusky in my life until Meredith put it there yesterday.
