It hasn't. I'm not at all being like the negative people over there (I don't really take sides in that whole deal; TPIR has some flaws, but I'd say it's holding up alright)... I'm just getting tired of watching flameout after flameout (plus more llamas than usual) and substandard (for lack of a better word) contestants sitting in the Hot Seat. If I had a nickel for all of the ridiculously easy questions that have had lifelines used on them, I'd be loaded with Jeffersons. I'm not being cocky or critical at all... I'm just stating a pure fact. And the fact is, they are not picking contestants based on intelligence anymore. They're picking them based on who needs the money most. Now, do I want to see everyday people like that get a shot at money that will change their lives? Of course I do. But this is not the place for it. That's what Deal or No Deal is (well, was) for. That's what Wheel of Fortune is for. And although it's more about prizes than cash, that's what TPIR is for.
I will admit this, though. While the quality of contestants has dipped tremendously, Millionaire isn't exactly helping anything by making the questions harder. There's no doubt that they've definitely done that. So considering that they don't care about intelligent contestants anymore, why are they making the questions more difficult? I just don't get it.
All of these things combined = me being through with Millionaire. Can you honestly blame me?
