When and if they show up before #1, I'll alert the media and release a statement. I'm not sure if it will be apparent which ones will be there when it gets into the short list because there are only about 5865045033 of them and I'm not on the board every day (sometimes not for several days) and I'm sure I've missed a lot of them. And forgotten even more..... ha!
Well, if anyone was wanting to go over every ES avatar I have used, they're all here....

That "snow angel" appears to be the character you used for Kristin's avatar.

Seriously, how does he ever expect to earn a tat when he can't tell the difference between an albino squirrel and a polar bear???? (Never mind thinking that the Charlotte Hornets were ever good, Grandmama notwithstanding......)

#9: "Rainbow Donkey"
Debuted: 5/27/09
Not my greatest work of art..... and boy did everyone let me know it. Members of the equine family have been and still are an achilles heel for ES, and this would be Exhibit A in that argument. After Hooly uttered that "hooligans are like unicorns, they can't be caught", I drew on my extensive Beast Sister-induced knowledge of Rainbow Brite and whipped this up the next morning.... only to get laughed at. Rainbow Unicorn/Donkey became probably the second biggest running joke between me and Hooly after the elusive phone number.... and because it was so awesomely bad, it earns a spot on the countdown....

#8: "Rafferty Klimt"
Debuted: 6/15/09
In its 7 and a half years on the air, I have to this day seen only one episode of SyndieBAM ever.... Rafferty Barnes' episode that aired this past June 15th. After watching the show, and seeing the $25K question about artist Gustav Klimt that ultimately led to her walking away, I drew up this little homage with her giraffe character.... on my crummy laptop no less. While what you can do in MS Paint is quite limited compared with other more complicated graphics programs out there, I must have pulled off the Klimt style well enough to be recognized for what it was. The best compliment this avatar got was when Fanny asked me in chat that evening why I had up a Klimt-inspired avatar... having not seen RB's show or the transcript threads. And someone else out there must have liked this one enough too, because it got some hits from an unknown blogspot site last month.....

I wonder what their interpretation of the giraffe part is, without knowing the backstory?

Well, rack up another one I'd forgotten about. And I should have remembered it because it was quite impressive. I like a lot of them because of the little details and expressions and whatnot, but I think this might be your best as far as incorporating a specific style. I knew immediately that it was a spin on the Adele Bloch-Bauer portrait.....

#7: The Snowmobile
Debuted: 3/26/09
On September 10th of last year, I put up my avatar of ES painting a picture of Annie and other than a couple special occasion avatars that were up for one day, left it up for a tad over 6 months. That all changed on March 26th when Sprots once again dared ES to get to Colorado despite a late season snowstorm and I whipped up this little picture of ES and MBRS traveling in style. The snowmobile avatar was where it all started, and I began drawing apropos avatars, sometimes changing them on a daily basis. It's not known for sure if ES and MBRS ever did make it to Colorado or not, but they blazed a trail for all the avatars that came after them, and there would be no countdown without them.....
And how fitting this avatar makes its countdown appearance on a day when he would once again need that snowmobile to make the trip....

A late season snowstorm? On March 26th? In Colorado? You're so cute......
A snowstorm isn't late around here unless it's June.
And I don't know about Sprots' place, but you can at least make it to the Divide before you'd have to break out the snowmobile. It was supposed to snow here through today, but it quit Wednesday afternoon. So we've got sunshine and deep blue skies with snow drifted up around the yards for ambiance, but it's (mostly) gone from the streets.

Well, as I recall, it was more than just Colorado. I think even Kansas City got pelted with snow out of that storm. Of course, it didn't hit 250 miles east...... we're getting a dusting on the cars right now. It may be our biggest snowfall of the season.....

Ahem.
Sprots has never dared ES to get to Colorado. She has been quite specific and directive in saying that ES is barred from putting one mangy toe over the state line, and in fact three states are much better. Hawaii is great, I don't know why he's so resistant to all my suggestions that he go there. Now would be good.
ES and MBRS never made it to Colorado. Just for the record.

That was a flight of fancy -- purely fanciful, I might add -- of some talented artist.

Good grief.

Debuted: 10/25/09
Alas, poor heels. He has been practically begging for an ES avatar now since he came to the Bored..... well, I exaggerate. He only first wished for an ES avatar with his
8th ever post. Yet ES does not seem to care. In fact, he seems to enjoying toying with the kid..... announcing that he has created a tattoo for a big Panthers fan, only to find out it was for Skoop.... making a tat for his girlfriend after she had posted just once on the Bored.... and then.... this. After heels had dissed Wheel of Fortune when they auditioned in Caroliner, my Evil Genius cohort responded that ES loved the Wheel, and auditioning would have gotten him a tattoo for sure. This was the avatar I was inspired to draw..... which succeeded in even cracking up heels. And while he can feel honored that an avatar he inspired made it this high in the countdown..... I only give tats to those who make it into the Top 5..........

You and ES are both really starting to get on my last nerve. If I had any drawing ability, I'd give Heels an avatar tat myself. That's how I feel about this.
Now if you don't mind, I'm going back to watching the "Fame" Christmas marathon on Centric.
