I got my first computer about 10 years ago this month and the first 2 things I did was put up my Buddy Holly autograph on eBay and check into the ABC board for Millionaire.
I sold the autographed program with Buddy's autograph for $2,400. and found a great group of people with the same passion for trivia that I've always had.
I've met a few of you on my own and many at Jipterwest. My friends all thought I was nuts to go off to Vegas by myself but I wasn't worried at all. I knew I would meet lots of friends and have a great time - I did.
This is still a great group even though many have gone but lots of newbies have come along. Everyone is welcome and that has always been the best thing about this group.

That's what the internet is for. How do you think I get all my avatars?

Actually, that looks very much like my sofa, and I wanted to know what I ever did to ES that would cause him to steal my sofa like that.

at this time of thanksgiving, I count the bored among them. Thanks to LB for your stats and nostalgia.
none will bring us down.
I find this ironic as I'm reading Hunger Games, a book about underground and revolution. . .

Kiki's sofa is not quite as good as Hawaii, but still OK . . .

Who said he stole it? Maybe he's there right now.
Then he remodeled my living room without telling me.
And moved the sofa there (since the one I have that looks like that is in our master bedroom's sitting room).

I don't post as much as I did in the past and admittedly the show does not have the same pop for many of us. But it is still amazing that The Bored (and many of it's different incarnations) is one of the few sites that I still regularly visit today while other sites come and go.

I find it amazing that anything has held my interest for 10 years, but I nearly always manage to pop in every day to see what's going on even if I don't post. Maybe that's because there's simply a bunch of amazing people here.
Some more amazing than others..........

10 years... and I've been here for 5 1/2 of them. Well, not the entire 5 1/2 years, since there was that pretty significant block of time between my oldest son's death and Bob Barker's retirement from "The Price Is Right" that I rarely posted anything or even read the Bored.
Here's to the next 10 years of artificial gratuitousness!

Wow, way over a million posts. This sure has been a talkative group. Congrats to all upon this tenth anniversary.
FWIW- I had never posted on any internet board until BAM. This is the one that inticed me in and now I have over 1,000 posts on 7-8 other boards in addition to this one.
I felt the change
Time meant nothing and never would again
