COMPANY SLOGANS

1. All the sugar and twice the caffeine.

JOLT COLA

2. What’s on the table, Mabel?

BLACK LABEL BEER

My dad always used to say "Get off the table, Mabel, that two bits is for beer! So apparently the roundheels our family knew was cheaper than Caro's. Ha!

3. Leave the driving to us.

GREYHOUND

For Annie.

4. The toughest job you’ll ever love.

PEACE CORPS

5. I'd rather fight than switch.

TAREYTON CIGARETTES

QOD: Think.

IBM

Since 1914. And I seem to recall that the guy who came up with it was an employee.

5 Point Bonus: From 1979 to 2003, this was GE’s official slogan.

WE BRING GOOD THINGS TO LIFE

Interesting how many people said "light", I think more than said the correct one. It's kind of like "Nobody doesn't/does it like Sara Lee".

5 Point Bonus Bonus: What slogan replaced it?

IMAGINATION AT WORK

Since almost everybody knew the old one (or a variation of it) and maybe three people knew the new one, I think GE needs to take a cue from IBM and stick with what works.

Nobody got a zip today, we're all conspicuous consumers! YAY!

The Tareyton/Lucky Strike confusion in my head has been going on for years - I can never remember which one it is.
