Same here, mostly. Class tonight, so taping the show. No chance to watch before tomorrow night, and probably won't be around here much for the next couple of weeks because of our impending inspection. Hope the VCR works! (I'm a cheap bastard who refuses to pay the extra bucks for DVR, especially given its likely limited usage.)Jeemie wrote:I don't think so.Appa23 wrote:Now, I am wondering if he will be the big winner for this go-around.
Mikehardware is getting a LOT of publicity.
And no- I do not know anything. I'm just speculating.
In fact, this evening and tomorrow, I have to disappear from the boards, so I don't find out anything until I get a chance to watch the show!

Re: PT-BAM Transcript 8/12/09 - Trevor Schultz (IceTre)
No worries if your VCR doesn't work. As I have discovered due to my own DVR issues, ABC has been posting prime-time BAM episodes both on abc.com and hulu. I watched last night's episode on hulu early this morning. (I tried watching it on abc.com first, but couldn't get that video to work though. I don't know whether the problem was with the site, or with my own computer. But it worked just fine for me on hulu).gsabc wrote:Same here, mostly. Class tonight, so taping the show. I will leave all of the Monday morning quarter-backing to those who are much better at it than me. I will just tell you that you were endearing and fun to watch. I was rooting for you as soon as your mom opened her mouth!
I hope that this is a true win for you. I hope you are bathing in the accomplishment of it all. I hope you will remember everything with a "Can you believe it!" joy!
I can't believe I am saying this to someone who just won a hundred freakin' thousand dollars!

You need to issue no apologies for the way you played or didn't play.

WTG Trevor! You were awesome!
I probably woulda never got there, but I'm still gonna tell how I knew the $250K question -- it was because of SilverCamaro!
She mentioned that she occasionally just felt the urge to study up on some things before her BAM appearance, and said, for example, she had just read up a bit on Attila. I thought that sounded like a good idea, so i did the same thing. Plus I got chewed out the other day by Wintergreen for calling Aetius "some Roman" when I mentioned a movie about Attila, and that made me think of it too, and how he died his wedding night of what was described in the stuff I read as a hemorrhage. Nosebleed, close enough.

WTG, Trevor! A hundred thousand big ones! You were very enjoyable to watch and proof that the Phone Game can produce personable AND competent contestants.
I do wish we could have seen you perform without the clock. I enjoyed listening to your anecdotes on how you knew certain random bits of trivia. On three occasions, you probably could have talked yourself into confidently going with your gut instinct, and you could have been going for $250K with 3 lifelines if it hadn't been for that stupid clock. But you made about 300 times what's in my bank account in 20 minutes worth of work so you definitely get the last laugh!

In this town, don't we love it now, everbody's waiting for the next surprise!

Warehouse 13? That was on a Season 2 episode of Scrubs. Remember when the guy came in with the gushing nosebleed and Elliot said, "This guy's bleeding like Atilla the Hun on his wedding night"...clem21 wrote:But I'll bet watching "Warehouse 13" (On Syfy! Really surprised I got FF right. All that Jackson tribute stuff pays off. But not really, as in, see mikehardware's question Thursday night.
16K: I knew it wasn't Thomas, having read more than I like to about Justice Thomas. Beyond that, Scalia would be stereotyping, wouldn't it, though that's my guess nevertheless. Call political expert, who is on line as ATE. And almost have heart failure when Cokie Roberts says "I'm not supposed to tell you the answer, am I".
Either she is unusually cruel, something I wouldn't have thought of her, or they didn't brief her adequately as to her role. I will give her absolution for obviously not being a Syndie Bam fan.
25K: No idea in Hell. No interest in movie. Nevertheless, have read lots about it, but obviously not anything that gave away the ending.
ATA. If that doesn't work, PAF.
50K: Oh Hell, arithmetic under the clock. Can instantly rule out Johnson & Nixon. Know what I was doing at Carter's defeat (had been polling for Carter as a job) so should know year but am tanking on it. Double dip. Clearly a lifeline-robbing victory for clock here.
250K: Never heard this in my life. PAF a Googler.
An excellent run, Trevor.
