Thank you and, believe me, no apologies are necessary. Since we rarely know each others' states of mind, or details about what one another are going through, perhaps we should always temper our comments more carefully. The fact that both of you are now apologizing for earlier comments only because of the tragedy that Frank is going through makes me think that perhaps they shouldn't have been made in the first place. What a great place this would be if there were always more consideration for the respondee.Tocqueville3 wrote:I couldn't say it better than Steve so...what SSS said.silverscreenselect wrote:Frank, I now realize that you've been going through this for the last couple of days, including earlier today when you made your well intentioned post about the inauguration, which a number of us, myself perhaps more than anyone, responded negatively towards.

I said something I should not have at a time that I should not have said it and then I apologized. I can't take back what I said.
What else do you want from me?
You better clear away a large chunk of your time if you're going to bring it up every time someone on this bored says something that is is ill timed or not very nice.

Re: Pam's mother passed away tonight
I'll try once more. You apologized not for what you said, but for the unfortunate timing of it. The point I was trying to make was that since we rarely know if something is going to be ill-timed or not received nicely by the recipient, we should be more careful about what we say - all the time. I rarely get involved when not-so-nice things are said to others. I thought this was a good example to learn from. Perhaps not.Tocqueville3 wrote:Well, my goodness.
