I guess that makes me cousin to a lot of y'all.
And Noah too.
I have noticed with some annoyance that the Bible doesn't mention the first dog. What's with that? In fact, as best as I can tell, there's only one dog mentioned in the entire Bible.
It's a greyhound, of course. I might be descended from that one, but I can't be sure because I'm adopted.

I'm sure I'm descended from the Royal House of Norway patriarch guy Yngvifraexr or the Royal House of Denmark matriarch Frode Fraekni. Well, I'm not sure Frode is a she, but I don't care. I like both of those names. They're very, um, melodious don't you think? They sound like what a couple of Norksies or Danes would think up after popping a few Tom and Jerry's during the Christmas winter solstice. Or maybe it was a double dog dare.
Well, then

Melodious, indeed, but Google is telling me that Frode was a king (one of several kings with that name), not a queen. In fact,
some say that his name was the inspiration for Tolkien's Frodo Baggins. That's not a bad way to be remembered, after a couple millennia.

I was wondering about that. It was too close to not think that.

Is your family tree named Yggdrasil, perchance?
I'll just have to be the first famous ancestor on my tree, somehow. I couldn't tell you much about any of my family. We're newbies on this side of the pond....

The only thing I know for sure is that on my mom's side (Thompsons and Olsons) (I actually found some stuff on my grandfather-those sites are unbelievable) some Trondheim Norwegiany sorts headed here, landed in northern Wisconsin, were very industrious, had lots of kids, except for my grandfather and grandmother (my mom was it) and married some local Danes who also had a lot of kids. I actually recognized my great aunts and uncles names, some of whom I'd met way back.
On my dad's side, it's a mishmash of probably English, Irish, German, whoknowswhat (Daily is the maiden name).
Well, then
