Sigh.
I can't get into chat either.
We could chat a little.

As long as it doesn't involve Zap's private bits.

:D

All things considered.....
Maddie did a really nice job. She made people laugh a lot. Her voice cracked a bit with emotion towards the end, when she talked about her last visit with Jean, but she held it together. Emma was a mess. She went in for the viewing, which she didn't do with her great-grandfather last year. She stayed in the room with the family, but I think that seeing her Great-Grandmother's body, made everything seem more real.

We thought that it might rain that day, but it didn't. It was very cold though.

We were in L.A. for almost twelve hours. I hired one of Maddie's friends to "baby-sit" Zap for the day. At first she thought it was a strange job, but he followed her everywhere and stuck his head on her lap and tried to snuggle when she was reading, so she fell in love with him.
That was Casey's method. She wormed her way into our affections -- first one front paw, then both, then add one back paw, then . . . she's in your lap! Or, if she's invited up, she's there in one bound.

I'm glad that Maddie's talk went well. Kudos to her for doing it.
