I have an update and it is AWESOME news! I called the audition hotline today and left a voicemail. I wasn't sure if I would get a call back, but I did within just a couple hours. The girl said that my post card must have been lost in the mail because I AM in the contestant pool! The girl who called was actually the same girl who did my first interview and she actually remembered me. So now I just have to wait for the call to be on the show! I asked her if she could send me a new post card and she said she would try. I want to as a souvenir.

Congratulations! Good feeling, isn't it? Too bad she didn't offer you a spot right then and there..."well, while I have you on the phone..."

Yeah, that would have been too good to be true, but we will see. I guess my gut instinct about doing well in the audition wasn't wrong. Now the real wait begins. At least I know they have my right number and there can't be a mistake with that. Now I want to know who stole my Happy card!

Did they really tell you that? The number of contestants who appear on the program is approximately 300 per season, according to the Statistic page on http://www.wwtbam.biz/ . What we don't know is how many people they actually admit to the pool.

Yes, Right before the testing started someone asked how many people were in the contestant pool and one of the casting people said there were 300 people in the pool each season and that since you are in the pool for 2 seasons you are 1 of 600 if you are in the pool, but I am not sure if getting the happy card means you are part of the 300 or if there is another round of eliminating people that we are not aware of.

If you get the Happy Card, you're in the contestant pool. That's what it says.

Getting out of the pool and onto the show (rather than treading water until you're flushed from the pool) can be considered another elimination round, but we're not there to take part or observe it. How they conduct that is a closely guarded secret.

Hi, I'm in both the movie contestant pool and the regular contestant pool. I originally made the cut in the movie pool, but passed the test in the regular pool as well, and when I called the hotline for clarification after receiving my happy card, I was told I was in both contestant pools. I'm trying to figure out where to put my energy. I've been studying for both, but focusing a little more on the regular test because I've heard there is a much better chance of being chosen from the regular contestant pool than from the movie contestant pool. If it were me I wouldn't put too much energy into either one until you get the call to come in for filming. If you spend a lot of time studying and never get the call you might be let down more. They say they give you 3-4 weeks advanced notice before you film which should be enough time to get ready. They are only doing 1 week for movies so you have to guess they are only picking a max of like 10 people for that.

Hello all! Long time lurker, first time poster.

I tried out at the Dallas auditions on July 8, passed the test, and then went on to receive a videotaped interview. However, I still have not heard back from WWTBAM one way or another. And now it appears that Las Vegas folks are getting their happy cards. Does anyone have any recommendations on recourse on my part? Thanks!
