Is "disputing" a question offered by Sploofus as an official process for redressing grievances, or are you just letting us know that you think you were jipted?Weyoun wrote:Missed two in a row, though I am disputing the one I just missed. The guy could have done this, but he was not the "first" to do it.
I'd rank a lot higher this month if not for the seven or so questions I've missed so far. I'll study harder for September.

Thanks, I did not know that. I figured it was just a game, with nothing at stake, so I never checked into it. If winning the month meant becoming a contestant on 5th Grader or something like that, I would care a lot more.Weyoun wrote:You can dispute a question.TheConfessor wrote:Is "disputing" a question offered by Sploofus as an official process for redressing grievances, or are you just letting us know that you think you were jipted?

Of course it's a game. But if the question is wrong, they should probably know, if only for future players. You seem astonished that trivia players are detail-oriented.TheConfessor wrote:Thanks, I did not know that. I figured it was just a game, with nothing at stake, so I never checked into it. No, I just figure you get what you pay for and there are more important things in life to worry about. Since I've paid nothing, I don't sweat the small stuff. If you pay to play Sploofus, it probably makes more sense for you to complain about a bad question. But there's still nothing at stake, as far as I know.Weyoun wrote:Of course it's a game. I also think it would be difficult to challenge any question, because the question and the five choices disappear as soon as you submit your answer. So you're never really sure how the question was worded.

Surprisingly, the back button works! Of course then you get the error message when you try and submit a new answer.TheConfessor wrote:No, I just figure you get what you pay for and there are more important things in life to worry about. If there are more important things in life to worry about, why do you keep bringing up this "small stuff"? It takes all of 30 seconds to complain about a question.TheConfessor wrote:No, I just figure you get what you pay for and there are more important things in life to worry about. Actually, it was you who brought it up. I was just responding to you. You seemed to know a lot about Sploofus and be among its top players, so I thought maybe I could learn something from you. And I did. Thank you.Weyoun wrote:If there are more important things in life to worry about, why do you keep bringing up this "small stuff"? General question: Why does your TQOTD standings at the bottom of your page say it's out of 42,295, when the leaderboard lists only 13,985? The players on the last page or so of the leaderboard all have zero. Are there another 28,000 players with zero points who are not listed?
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

And along the same lines....gsabc wrote:General question: Why does your TQOTD standings at the bottom of your page say it's out of 42,295, when the leaderboard lists only 13,985? When I look at my ranking it is always further down the line than if I go page by page looking for my name on the list. So unlike those on the first page (you know who you are!), I go to the page that the standing at the bottom suggest I should be on and then see how far forward I have to scroll to actually see my name in the ranking.
This falls into the very little things that I wouldn't normally complain about, but since you brought it up!

It would be my guess that the players with zero on the page have attempted at least one question this month, but haven't gotten any correct yet. The other 28k are members of the site that haven't looked at any of the questions.gsabc wrote:General question: Why does your TQOTD standings at the bottom of your page say it's out of 42,295, when the leaderboard lists only 13,985? We discussed this when Sploofus first made their changes. They totals and rankings bar no longer updates automatically, although I think the overall points on the top do. It was discovered that you had to log in again to see the changes.christie1111 wrote:And along the same lines....

But I've found the quicker way for me is to go to "my sploofus" click on settings then submit changes. Even if you're not changing anything, it updates your info on the bottom.
The thing that annoys me is that they have NA for the monthly Kerblunk rankings.

for some reason, Sploofus does not list everyone who misses one question. At the beginning of this month, even though a few BBs posted about missing their first question, only onw was listed among the people with zero points. Therefore, you cannot be sure exactly how many people actually play in any given month. Here's Fanny! wrote:It would be my guess that the players with zero on the page have attempted at least one question this month, but haven't gotten any correct yet.
