Someone that does not respect honesty has a problem. Not necessarily a mental issue, but a social one.

I'm pretty sure those are not protections against your affliction. Ironically they may be indications of a proclivity for mental illness.

https://www.stalkingriskprofile.com/wha ... al-illness
While many stalkers do not suffer from a mental illness, mental disorders are not uncommon among stalkers whose behaviour attracts attention from criminal justice and mental health services. Research in the United States and Australia on stalkers who have entered the criminal justice system suggests that at least 50% of this group experience some sort of mental disorder, with personality disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, depression, and substance use disorders being most common (McEwan et al., 2009; Mohandie et al., 2006; Rosenfeld, 2004).
OK- so there's only a 50/50 chance your cyberstalking is indicative of an attendant mental illness or affliction.

My bad.

Your other internet homes you've trolled must be very sheltered places then. This wouldn't even rank among our Bored's Top 50 pissing matches... hmmmm, that might be a new Bored history idea.

Assuming this doesn't sound too creepy and cyber-stalky itself, Dorothy could you please hold onto my arm while we walk through the scary woods of this thread?

I also admit that naive little 57 year-old me had not heard of cyber cigar nor do I FULLY comprehend everything that has transpired in this situation. All I can say is that it saddens me whenever any type of interaction between two or more participants on this Bored results in such a bad outcome, and I am sorry to hear that a BB has been made so unhappy by another. Sorry to get all Woodstock-y on ya, but I AM a peace-and-love kinda guy.

Just as long as it's not anti-Cocoa Puffs...I kinda like those. Not full-blown Cuckoo for 'em, but I do find them rather tasty.

Sometimes peace through strength is really required.

People like Zach need to be confronted, not ignored.

Got it. Just was clueless it was even going on. Still find it sad..I guess I thought folks in this place were better than that. I mean, an argument over political crap is one thing, but this...

My impression of Zach even before this all started (and is only reinforced by his comments in this thread) is that he is one of those beings who is just going to continue to exist despite everything. You can ignore him or confront him.... but Zach is just going to continue to be Zach. Unlike your common internet troll, I don't think he gives a possum's ass whether we react to him or not... he posts solely for his own self gratification... and the unlikely event that maybe one of his cyberial wet dreams will actually respond positively to him.

The only thing that would stop him in his tracks is if one of those contestants filed a stalking charge against him. I don't know who'd pay for mother's cancer sticks if Zach wound up in the joint because he was too obsessed with female game show winners...

Vandal says:

Zach would get along great with a certain "apparition" on this Bored.

Whatever did I (or Marley, though I suppose I'm the target here) do to deserve this? Or to tick off Vandal, for that matter?

Oh well.

Certainly never stalked anybody, on the internet or elsewhere. Weird remarks about cigars, cyber or otherwise, are not in my ballpark.

Have nothing against female game show winners (& I'd truly like to be one, but that's another deal).

Haven't had a chance to watch Rafferbee's runs yet (the 2 nights I have on tape; I didn't get the 3rd because of not having set the recorder. Thought I had, but I had not.).

According to George MacDonald Fraser-The British in the WW2 Burma Campaign had a curious name for a firefight. They called it a "Duffy" as when hearing shooting a mile so away-the comment would be "Somebody is having a Duffy." If you would like to use it for your Top 50 or in other Bored contexts instead of "Pissing Match"-I give you permission.

I think he was being sarcastic, as in you would most definitely NOT get along with him. At least that's how I took it.

Sarcasm often gets lost in cyber-translation.

Just me being Woodstock-y again. It's a weakness.

...and I wouldn't worry about misspelling Cocoa Puffs.

I read too many cereal boxes as a kid. In between emptying them out to get the cool prizes in them. Which usually turned out to be decidedly uncool.

I think the best thing I obtained from a cereal box was something you needed to send in boxtops and some coinage for postage and handling..to Battle Creek Michigan of course, where I imagined there were mountains of cereal being mined and put into boxes. Anyway, it was a 45 by Gary Lewis and the Playboys. On one side was This Diamond Ring and Little Miss Go-Go. On the other was Doin' The Flake. The cereal in question of course was Kellogg's Corn Flakes.

Needless to say, the Flake never caught on as a dance sensation. I was only in it for This Diamond Ring, to be honest.
