In reality, California officials know full well how many non-citizens voted in June and November of 2018, and the ballpark figure of one million is probably low. You're right. People who weren't eligible were registered to vote in California. Six of them, scattered across the state. Out of literally millions of registered voters. None of the erroneous registrants were non-citizens. Not one. All of them were due to DMV error. It's simply not true that ineligible voters are thronging at the polls in an effort to steal our franchise. And all six registrations have been cancelled.
The rest of what you posted (without attribution) comes from a right-wing fake news site that says whatever the hell it wants without regard for the truth. Anderson's actual reporting appears to have been accurate. It took California several months to catch the six erroneous registrations. Anderson reported in the early stages of the investigation that the State didn't yet have answers. Now it does.
And the solution you (and most Republicans) want would deprive tens of thousands of eligible voters, or even hundreds of thousands, of the ability to cast a ballot. That really would steal our franchise. The days are ending when you can win elections by keeping voters away from the polls. And that day will come none too soon. There are MILLIONS of illegal aliens in this country, BWBJ, and nobody knows how many millions. Why not? Because the democrats don't want us to know. They don't want them counted. Many of them (again, no one knows how many) have false documentation, false SSNs, etc. They get Driver Licenses, even though they are not supposed to be here. Now, you are telling me that NONE of them are voting illegally, when there's no validation process to see if the voter is actually a citizen? Give me a break.
Well, BWBJ, even if, here's another reason why the democrats don't want to count or even identify who's here illegally. They benefit from illegals being here, especially from California, because it increases their representation in Congress and gives them extra Electoral College votes where they are concentrated, which is mostly in 'sanctuary' cities and states. Just another way you are using them.

So, according to you: Electoral college - Good. Constitutionally mandated method of determining representation in Congress and makeup of the electoral college - Bad.

So let me get this straight. You think there are just oodles of illegal voters out there infecting our voter rolls, which are public. And there are lots and lots of losing Republican candidates with all kinds of motivation to uncover all of this illegal activity. But not one of them has managed to do so. (In contrast, when it's the Republicans who cheat, as they did in North Carolina's 9th Congressional District, they get caught.)BackInTex wrote:If you believe there were just six you are not as smart as I thought you were. The populations of each state, upon which the seats in the House of Representatives are apportioned, and thereby the Electoral College votes, are determined by the census. Because of democrat insistence, the millions of illegal aliens they have encouraged to come and stay in our country are included in that count, thereby enhancing the power of states and areas that encourage the concentration of illegal aliens. This pretty much swings towards the leftists in the democrat party, which control most of the areas mentioned above.
These illegal aliens are being used by the democrat party to increase their power in the House and in the Electoral College. Just as BWBJ says they are being used to ensure he has money for Social Security. (How can illegal aliens who are not supposed to be employed contribute to BWBJ's Social Security? They have weaseled a way around that) But it's not happening fast enough for them. That is why they enhance their attempt to overthrow the Electoral College by getting states to agree to throw their electoral college votes to the candidate who gets the most popular votes nationwide, thereby negating the whole purpose of the Electoral College.
I want both House Apportionment and Electoral College votes to be determined by CITIZEN population, and not diluted because of people who should not legally be here. What's next, dems, count people who live in other countries but would like to be here? Count people who have been deported?
That's my perspective. You can agree with it or disagree with it. But what's the point of poking me with a pointy stick? If you think illegal aliens should have any say as to who is elected to any office, explain why you think that instead of telling me you think I'm racist scum or posting grade school jibes at me.

It's true that the number of representatives and Electoral College votes per state is based on total population, and many states and localities, both Democratic and Republican, make an effort to count every warm body, including illegals, homeless and prisoners. That rule is in the Constitution. In fact, it was the Southern states, with their millions of non-voting residents, who supported that rule the most strongly. It you don't like it, amend the Constitution.flockofseagulls104 wrote:I want both House Apportionment and Electoral College votes to be determined by CITIZEN population, and not diluted because of people who should not legally be here.
Some states have proposed creating districts within their state based on the number of voting-age citizens, though none have done it yet.

So, let me get this straight. Here's what the Constitution says about choosing representatives: "Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers." Nothing about citizens. But because of the millions of illegal aliens, many of whom live in Texas, Florida, and here in Georgia, all of which have voted Republican, you don't think the Constitution is right. But the Electoral College, which skews Republican because it disproportionately rewards small states which are mostly Republican, is OKflockofseagulls104 wrote: The populations of each state, upon which the seats in the House of Representatives are apportioned, and thereby the Electoral College votes, are determined by the census. Re: At least 30 shot in Texas
The Constitution doesn't refer to voting or non-voting residents. It says: "according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons." Of course, back then, "other Persons" meant slaves, and the 3/5 compromise was one of many that allowed the Constitution to be ratified.jarnon wrote: In fact, it was the Southern states, with their millions of non-voting residents, who supported that rule the most strongly. I'm guessing that if Flock had been around in 1850, he'd have whole heartedly endorsed this section of the Constitution.

Re: At least 30 shot in Texas
As part of fixing our broke immugration system, I would support an amendment to clarify that only citizens be counted for congressional apportionment. I stipulated several times that "that's what I want". And, unlike the leftists and trolls, I know that an amendment is the remedy, as opposed to doing what you want to do and ignoring the Constitution.I also know that was the main reason for the 3/5ths decision way back when before we abolished slavery.jarnon wrote:It's true that the number of representatives and Electoral College votes per state is based on total population, and many states and localities, both Democratic and Republican, make an effort to count every warm body, including illegals, homeless and prisoners. But it's unlikely we will ever 'fix' our broken immigration system. Too many people get elected with party, not country priorities.
