If the moderators want to go the Game Show Forum route and ban him, great. If not, everybody should do themselves and each other a favor and put Zach on ignore. Above all, do not discuss or mention him, and above all, do not reply to his posts.
I HAVE been ignoring him for four years, and what did it get me? Just that icky feeling every time he found a new way to contact me. I'm glad I called him out finally, though I realize now I did have some small hopes he would stop. (The sticky keyboard thing is really gross too, guys)

Also, I didn't realize all of YOU didn't realize all the things he was doing. I thought you all knew and I was the only one who was so sensitive as to be bothered by it. So thank you to all the wonderful friends I've made on this Bored who have reached out to me and posted here and told me it was NOT okay. I feel less alone now.

If I don't "know" someone on the Bored, I always make the assumption that he/she is harmless and OK.

I didn't "know" Zach, so had no reason to assign any nefarious meaning to what he posted.

I know now- and with the additional elements you revealed, it's not that he's just "not normal"- he really ought to be under the care of a competent psychiatrist- and I hope he is.

Megan, we just finished watching your performance on 500 Questions. Well done. You were entertaining to watch. I'm sorry it didn't work out that you could get to the main position.

Yeah, what he said. As far as the other stuff that apparently has been going on-all I can say is that I picked a very interesting time to pop back in here.

Having to give an aging and not wealthy relative a few hundred dollars a month meant putting others' needs before my own as of about three years ago. And the sticky keyboard thing really had no need coming up then or now, but I remember someone doing that bit with me.

If you're trying to pull a sympathy card, don't assume you're the only one with personal issues on this forum (or any other for that matter). Many people are able to deal with theirs just fine without having to bother others or make them feel uncomfortable.

FTR: I used to think the cigar reference was harmless when I would come across it in other forums; thinking it referred along the lines to a "victory cigar" (or "close but no cigar") until reading here. Doing a quick Google search, I have yet to see "one offered" to a male contestant in the posts that came up.

Absolutely, Megan. I hope you didn't feel called out by my post. If you did, my apologies. I was simply throwing my two cents into the bucket.

And I'll echo the sentiments of the others. In lieu of the game's format giving you much real chance to play, thank you for making the show the most entertaining it's been so far.

But it does mean not taking care in some ways of myself to take care of others, whether I get banned from places from the internet or not.

No sympathy card is pulled. Two people before Megan did complain to me about it out of however many people have won on J! since 2006 or 2007 when it made its debut.

Yes my analysis was correct- you need good psychiatric help, and lots of it.

I hope you seriously look for it.

If my mother would give up her cable TV dog and cancer sticks at $500 or so dollars a month, I could afford about a 20 minute session a month :) but that aint' going to happen. Knowing what frigging health care costs. My mother won't like you if she sees you tell me this. A guy 14 years ago called me retarded online, and she yelled at him when she heard that. Of course she stayed married to my stepdad despite him not liking me and calling me a burden for 10 years(until he died) I haven't seen a pissing match like this since 2002 on Usenet.

I would say I miss pissing matches in these newsgroups, but I haven't seen one this big in 12-13 years since Usenet alt.tv.game-shows moved to Game SHow FOrum. I also don't get pissed in here much, but someone telling me I need psychiatric help does make me upset........

Stop behaving like you need psychiatric help, and you won't get told you need it.

Cyberstalking is a serious mental issue- unless, of course, you are calling Megan a liar?

Sure, have $500 a month to contribute to Zach's counseling because counseling has to be $125 a session at this point? I doubt that. Megan doesn't lie as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure I met the new "reigning genius," Richard Mason, at my very first WWTBAM audition in San Diego, the same one where I met in person shinycar and Sirge. I hope the show is renewed so that another Caltech alumnus gets the chance to strut his stuff. --Bob

Yeah and Zach will be the new challenger. I say that because I don't think the show will get renewed.

Hey, man- if you aren't willing to do something about your problem- don't get pissed when someone mentions you have one.

You have admitted you stalked Megan via multiple cyber channels (since you have said she doesn't lie)- that is a sign you need help, whether you can afford it or not.

Unfortunately I can't afford it. The whole fixed income thing and a mother who can't live without my help. I have no respect for people who tell me I have mental issues, and I have a Master's in Math and Actuarial Science too.

I believe that cable television, smokes, and dog cost $500 a month. What I don't believe is that they are requirements to maintain life. I also don't believe that supporting a smoking addiction is helping someone live. It's hurting two lives, the smoker's and the dog's.

The internet and computer give me the little bit of sanity I have left, my teasing of Jeopardy champions over the years notwithstanding.
