Although the race between Estonut and Fanny got close in the final few games, Esto managed to cruise in the final two to take a 23 point lead and win the 2009 Winter Lyrically Speaking Extravaganza. Congratulations to him, and I will see to it that your name is not spelled wrong on the trophy....

And thanks to everyone who played this year, all 44 of you! (Sorry LFHP, I can't officially count you, but thanks for playing the first 2 games) In particular to those who made the effort to come out and play everyday! I don't have an official perfect attendance list, but just scanning the list, I know for a fact that 6 players earned points in all 50 LS games... Fanny, TBone, Melo, elwood, Clem, and Panic....

I had a lot of fun putting this contest together, and despite my worries about game sequels (Especially given how TMOTTBG turned out in its 2nd and 3rd seasons) and the fact that the points race was nowhere near as tight this year as it was last year when Fanny, TBone, fishie and mrkelley were neck and neck all season long, I have to say that I enjoyed this version even more than last year's. The running gags (Captain Jack, Dave's senior moments, mini's vagueness, etc.) just added to the fun. I will definitely be bringing LS back next winter and making it an annual event, and I hope in the meantime that a few others find the time to throw some games together since I am looking forward to being on the player's side again.....

Thanks again to everyone who made the '09 LS a smashing success, and I am looking forward to doing this again in '10.....

LB, I just wanted to thank you for your efforts during the last few months on this. It was a lot of fun to play and to read everybody's real and gag answers. I'm just sorry that I was not able to play in every game. I thought that I would be able to play during my trip to Disney, but it turns out I never even opened the laptop. And, then, work got in the way of playing in a few games after that. Regardless, though, I had a great time and hope that somebody picks up the torch (possibly me, but I'm not sure) before you do this again next year.

I really enjoyed this year's game (even if almost all your ideas are stolen from me!), having the MMs for theme days as well as Wednesdays was a lot of fun to try and figure out why "they" were the ones presenting the day's game. One of my favourites was the Annie/ES joint effort.

I also thought the JJCP added extra fun, even if you did stiff me on occasion. Ha!

Thank you for making this an annual event, although I'm bereft with no LS to answer today, it will take off the pressure of having perfect attendance.

I can't wait for Estonut to start his LS game next!
