Fantasy Football non sequitur

#1 Post by kayrharris » Thu Sep 04, 2008 6:31 pm

I got called this time last week by my daughter who had joined a fantasy football league with her co-workers (all men) and 30 minutes until the draft. She knows nothing about football and forgot to tell me I was her assistant.
I had no time to prepare so hurried over to see what we were facing.

The whole office made fun of us the entire draft. We ended up with Eli Manning and Brett Farve as our QBs. The guys sat around the table snickering the entire time....I just glared back at them.

I also have Plaxico Burress as one of my WR. If the rest of the game goes as well as the first quarter, I think I'll be just fine this week anyway.
I hope those guys are crying in their beer about right now.

Good job, Kay. I hope the Giants continue to have good games -- if they do, you'll continue to win.

Good Luck with the Giant connection. I think you would have wound up with more points last night if they had not decided to go ultra conservative and let the defense preserve the victory.

Yes, but I have the rest of the weekend to salvage this week's matchup.

I'm just glad Eli didn't bomb out - the way the guys were snickering when we drafted him, you would have thought we just drafted Jason Campbell.
