Got the nicest surprise yesterday!

#1 Post by fuzzywuzzy » Wed Nov 07, 2007 8:20 am

My BFF who I brought with me to NYC in 2001 ROF, sent me a very funny card which I received in the mail yesterday.

This friend is a kindergarten teacher who is amazing at what she does. She is an artist, sings, writes, has a heart as big as the state of Kansas, and a son (whom is my buddy) with autism (officially diagnosed in the spring - he is 10 years old).

We are always joking that when we talk with each other and try to catch up, its always about the negative stuff that has been going on.

So...she sent me a Hallmark - Saturday Night Live card with Gilda Radner as Rosanne Rosannadanna on the front.

It says, "So (on the front)" when you open it up, she goes into a long laundry list of the problems she has. The last one she mentions is GAS!

The card reads on the inside..."How are things with you?" LMAO!

I kept playing it over, and over, and over....

I love the new Hallmark cards that have with music, or TV show stuff. :P

I did, too, until yesterday. My sister sent my son one that had The Hampster Dance. It got broken by the two-year-old within 7 minutes. So I fixed it, only it would play when you closed it and wouldn't stop until the song was over.

It wouldn't have been so bad, only the repair guy was fixing my ice maker (again) at the time. He actually had a sense of humor, and asked me if I knew where the song came from, so he may have even been a trivia geek himself!

There's another one we get tortured with almost every night.

And to whoever did that song where they yell "Peanut Butter Jelly!" over and over and over and over again.... I will find you and strangle you....

Just be grateful your cow-workers haven't discovered Radio Disney. The playlist consists of every Hannah Montana song ever recorded, the "best" of High School Musical & High School Musical 2 and about 3 other songs, so even if you are forced to listen only for a short period, but many, many, many times over the course of a child's life, you get to learn all the songs by heart, even the ones that made you retch the first time.

"I've been to the year 3000"----pukish.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

My girlfriend Kim asked me to get her the theme to "Teen Titans" for her nephew.

She's now regretting that! :D

If you find them, kick 'em one in the slats on my behalf. For whatever reason a bunch of people on our cruise decided to sing the stupid song constantly. Mostly in the formal dining room.
