Is that McCain's new motto?

I had to laugh at the point in Obama's speech last night when Obama gave the line "It is not about me, but about you." Right at that point of the speech, the DNC feed gave a shot of "www.barackobama.com" on one of the stadium's electronic scoreboards. Talk about the visual negating the point. :)

In "Country First" I detect a bit of a joke by a navy man, on the West Point (army) motto "Duty, Honor, Country".


And all the other things probably there and intended.

Except for Bob's original comment, and there is a bit of an unintended similarity, though probably only a bit, as while "Reich" is usually translated as realm, or empire, rather than country, the sense in the infamous Hitler motto is probably closer to "country", or "one country": ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer"

Yes, it's typical right wing claptrap. Conservatives keep coming up with stuff like that, like 'Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.' Have to watch out for that. Anything thinking person knows that the best motto is 'Me First' or 'What's in it for Me?'
