New season for WWTBAM and NYC broadcast times?

I'm hoping I might have a chance to catch one show before my Sept. 9 taping. I'm guessing that Sept. 8 might be the start of the new WWTBAM season on air? Does anyone know? Also, as I will be in NYC already, what time/channel does BAM air in NYC? I'm sure I can find this out when I arrive, but knowing in advance will help plan sightseeing around the show. Much as I love the show, I don't want to skip sightseeing for a repeat in the old format.

This past season WWTBAM has been on WABC Channel 7 at 12:30 PM ET. I have not heard of any changes to the schedule.

Edit to add: The official site says Sept 8 for the new season.
