Got the call!

#1 Post by madamemeisha » Wed Aug 20, 2008 4:52 pm

So I've been lurking on this bored since I auditioned in Sacramento in June, reading the transcripts and hoping to gain helpful information on the off chance I might be called. It was my first time auditioning and I really wasn't expecting to go far, but I got the call today! I'm so overwhelmed and excited, I don't even know where to start. I can't wait for my boyfriend to get home so I can casually invite him to come to New York with me.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself as I'll be around a lot more now! My tape date is September 16, and the show should air around November 24. Now I just need some decent lifelines. I have people in mind, but the landline requirement looks like it might be a problem.

Any tips or helpful comments would be much appreciated!

We had a very sad Black Monday a while back, but today seems to be shaping up into a Wow-em Wednesday - two calls reported in one day - a newbie and a long-timer!

Congrats and see the other thread if you are interested in my comment on travel and staying in NYC.

Good luck, have a load of fun and win a million!

Go Get 'Em.

And read my suggestions to other lucky ones re familiarizing yourself with the rule changes & how they actually affect players in real time (watch a show on TV or in person under the new rules) before you play.

Welcome to the Bored! Let me be the first to volunteer to serve as a PAF. I believe I qualify as decent (I'm a two-time Jeopardy! champion and twice correctly answered the million-point question in the Play It! hot seat), and I've served on a PAF list 20 times before. If you're interested, please send me a Private Message.

Congratulations! --Bob

If it wasn't a Tuesday, I'd volunteer. :(

Keep me in mind if you need coverage for Wednesday.

Hey, it's the better looking kt and that late, lamented 30 something. And of course someone named for a astrological sign and a Yankee fan. In other words a bunch of WEs with a left coaster.

CONGRATULATIONS from the Old-timer to the New-Timer! I'm taping on Sept. 9 so we will almost cross paths. I auditioned in Sacramento too. Were you in the early or late test group? I was in the early.
