I am just glad that Maksim is back on the show and that he is not dancing with Kim K.

Wow--I've heard of all but two of them. That's a new record for me!

They're moving up from the D-list...

Singer in need of a career boost? Check.
Former boy-band singer? Check.
Former NFL player? Check.
Tabloid bait? Check.
Soap star? Check.
Washed up comedian who was never funny in the first place? Check.
Really really really old chick? OK that's a new one at least. And since I love Ms. Leachman I'd be rooting for her if I watched this crap.

Usually they have somebody on the show who has medical issues. Perhaps being old is this year's medical issue.

Toni Braxton has medical issues:
A hotel official said that doctors advised Braxton to take the rest of the time off to concentrate on her health. The singer suffered from heart aggravated problems resulting from the birth of her second child, which endangered the walls of her heart.

And I thought I read somewhere that Kim Kardasian sliced open her foot.

Her large ass and lack of talent can also be considered handicaps.

They really seem to like to saddle Kym Johnson with some albatrosses. Other than Fatone, who was a bit of a surprise but perhaps shouldn't have been with his "boy band" connection, she hasn't gotten a lot to work with. Maybe Sapp will uphold the successful tradition of past NFL players but I seeing is believing!

And what is with the SLC Mormon ballroom dancer connection? The addition of Lacey Schwimmer as a new pro will be at least the fourth one in the series.

I suppose once they had one with Ashley Del Grosso it gave them a connection to find others?

The Ballas family is an interesting one. The dad, Corky Ballas, joins the show with his son Mark and his two pupils/"foster" kids, the Houghs, as the partner of Cloris Leachman.

Not to be outdone the grandfather, according to Wiki, was not only a dancer as well who owned a huge dance studio AND also invented the weedeater!

Now there's a combo you don't see every day...

And oddly enough, her only assets, too.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

After a couple of decent partners the past 2 seasons, although Mathison was borderline at best and I never much cared for Taylor, it looks like Edyta drew a short straw again as well...

I guess Lawrence was OK as well but she has really had some projects to work on each season.

Lance can't dance.

As many times as I saw that boy in concert, he never could get it quite right.
