I will be at the Red Bulls-Dynamo match later today. The weather is expected to be terrific, not too hot like it was around here last month.

Sounds good. We'll have a few Dynamo fans at the game.

Both teams are on a roll. Houston has won 4 in a row and hasn't lost in our last 7. New York has won the last two and is unbeaten in the last four.

Should be a good game. I just wish it wasn't on the Field Turf. Houston has a bad record on that surface in our history.

Great game for us, probably our best of the season; it was a big surprise to shut out the powerful Dynamo offense with two defenders out. On the bad side, not only Field Turf but also those NFL markings. Good for the Giants and Jets, not so good for soccer.

Some good news around here: They finally cleared some issues and started building Red Bull Arena (changed name from Red Bull Park). They say summer 2009 but I'm thinking the start of 2010. A site was selected in Chester, PA for the expansion Phila. team stadium.

A half-dozen Dynamo fans made it to one corner of the stadium.

Thanks for the pic.

That was a pretty awful game from our guys. I don't know what happened but it was like they were sleepwalking out there. Oh, well, we're still in good shape to win the West but the Supporters' Shield is looking out of reach.

Our all-time record on Field Turf is now something like 2-9-4. Not an excuse but just pointing it out.

I saw that they actually started putting up the steel framework for Red Bull Arena. I agree that 2009 is very unlikely as a completion date. I'll be glad to see it whenever it finally gets built.
