RIP Gene Upshaw
Head of the NFL Players' Association, at age 63 from pancreatic cancer, according to reports on Clear Channel Online. He played for the Oakland Raiders from 1967-1981 and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He negotiated a number of major contract changes for NFL players but was accused of being too friendly with NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue.
