You can't buy any sort of booze here in New Jersey and I'm happy with that! Because beer is sold in liquor stores they stock hundreds of different types. I was in line behind a older lady at the movies who was at least 75, she reluctantly said to the cashier "Oh, I am just old enough for the senior discount". Hard to believe she did that with a straight face.
Time to raise the SD to Age 65 or 66 years 2 months to correspond to the age in which baby boomers are eligible for full social security benefits.
I do love AARP's travel site! I've been booking my trips there lately, average savings over hotel, and other discount sites for young'ems is about 20 %. And if you have to cancel or make changes they are more forgiving than other websites (that poor old senile man who doesn't understand how to use a computer) lol! Embarassing checking into a hotel though when the 20 something Registration Desk Jockies seem to enjoy announcing loudly "Oh, you booked using the AARP discount". Maybe they want to embarrass us into paying the higher rates the next time around? 50 seems too young to be an AARP IMHO, but I will use whatever discount program that I am eligible for .
